I hate Maxwell too so I vote for George! (Max is fine, too, but not Maxwell. Especially if your surname is House.)

lazarou · 27/05/2008 15:35

How about gemax or Wellge

iwouldgoouttonight · 27/05/2008 15:37

Couldn't Max be a middle name? George Maxwell sounds ok.

ciberland · 27/05/2008 15:39

Lazarox no thanks and dont bother with Air Max either .

belgo · 27/05/2008 15:44

Maxime is a foreign version of Max.

ciberland · 27/05/2008 15:46

Maximillian,
I dread top think what they would do to that in the playground.

lazarou · 27/05/2008 15:46

Yes, that was terribly childish of me, ciberlanx.....

EffiePerine · 27/05/2008 15:46

We're considering Maximilian instead.

although a very cool Maxwell

iwouldgoouttonight · 27/05/2008 15:47

IME nobody remembers middle names anyway - we spent ages trying to find the perfect first and middle name for our DS and since then, apart from registering the birth, nobody has ever mentioned his middle name. I really like it and makes me wish I'd used something else so we could have saved it as a first name for our next DS (if we have one!). So Maxwell as a middle name might not be so bad!

ciberland · 27/05/2008 15:48

Maxime sounds girly i like it though ,does anyone know a Maxime ?

OP posts:
EffiePerine · 27/05/2008 15:48

Maximilian

Note 1 L

also Holy Roman Emporer, natch

belgo · 27/05/2008 15:49

yea, I know a Maxime, male, in Belgium, and yes, it sound a bit girly doesn't it?

Maximus. Is that a good name?

EffiePerine · 27/05/2008 15:49

Emperor

freakypenguin · 27/05/2008 15:50

3andnomore · 27/05/2008 15:50

Maxim

Maximos
Maximus
Maxton

ScoobyDoo · 27/05/2008 15:51

ciberland · 27/05/2008 15:53

Keep em coming.
DH says not MAX ,
3andnomore are these made up names?

OP posts:
ciberland · 27/05/2008 15:55

Like MAXIM anyone know of a boy called that or is it made up ?

OP posts:
3andnomore · 27/05/2008 15:55

3andnomore · 27/05/2008 15:56

Maxim is the russian version and means Greatest...apparently...however, I know a few Maximes (females)...so...not sure if people would rip the mich and all that....

belgo · 27/05/2008 15:58

I think the boy I know is Maxim, not Maxine (sorry)

gauly · 27/05/2008 16:08

There is also the Welsh name Macsen which can be shortened to Max.
