raven is a little 'out there' but if baby is very dark could be lovely

all others are nice imo

Willow - just found out my best friend from school has named her daughter this. Like it but will always remind me of Buffy... not that that's a bad thing.

Tristan - I had this on my shortlist. Posh but not too posh.

Raven - I think this might be a little harsh?

Trinity - again, very nice.

I'm not keen on Raven - for me it makes me think of either raving, (I went to university in the late eighties/early 90s!) or ravens and crows which can have connotations of death and meanness. A collection of ravens is called an unkindness.

I think Willow is pretty. Tristan is OK - a bit posh.

Trinity sounds like a an evangelical Christian sort of name.

Raven and Willow will have you labelled as 'hippy' - depends how you feel about that.

Siege - I wasn't keen on Raven in the first place but you defiantly put me off - not a bad thing methinks!

Can I just quickly point out that these are our 'extreme' names, we do have a list with 'safer' names on it.

Just thought I'd try our more outrageous names out in public!

according to the internet.. tristan means tumult riot bold or (french) sad. fab. (it is always herriot to me but i am old)

Hiya, Tristan I like. Willow also nice but my DH looked at me like I was bonkers when I suggested it when pg with DC1 (was a boy though!). Rowan is nice.

Raven a bit odd but could grow.

I think Trinity is awful - nice at first but then makes you think of the Matrix. Now, she was cool but then makes me think kids called Trinity would be named after that character which is a bit chavvy.

i like Willow, but people will assume you smell of patchouli.

Not wild about the others.

So I think the general opinion is that, on the whole,everyone hates Raven, likes Willow, quite likes Tristan.
