Feels like potentially a less popular Jude? Just not sure if it has the same charm in my opinion.

Love it ❤️

SayIt24 · 27/02/2025 20:37

Love it.

PineappleSeahorse · 27/02/2025 20:38

I love it and think that it’s infinitely nicer than Jude. The bad luck associations wouldn’t bother me personally.

ClearFruit · 27/02/2025 20:38

I have a 12 year old son, who has a friend called Jonah. Really lovely kid. His friends all call him 'Boner'. Just a heads up.

SemperIdem · 27/02/2025 20:39

I really like it. Know of one, who is about 10.

Cavalierchaos · 27/02/2025 20:40

Love it and Jonas.

MiddleAgedDread · 27/02/2025 20:45

I like it, have only ever met one and he was a really nice guy. He used to have a whale as his laptop login icon which always made me chuckle!

I love the name Jonah so so much. I wanted it for our 3rd child, DH didn't 😞

shoopshoopdedoo · 27/02/2025 20:50

I prefer it to Jude!

bookstack · 27/02/2025 20:53

My son works with a Jonah (late teen/ early 20?), it's such a lovely name.
His friends call him Jonesy.

Dillydollydingdong · 27/02/2025 20:55

No. A Jonah is someone who brings bad luck. Someone who puts a jinx on things.

BestThingAtThisParty · 27/02/2025 20:56

Love it. There's also Joe as a nn.

My mum suggested it to me when pregnant and I dismissed it in a hormonal mood, then remembered a few years later and wished I'd used it!

Don't be ridiculous.

Loubylie · 27/02/2025 21:02

It's a cool name.
There's also Judah, the fourth son of Jacob and Leah. The brave one who volunteered to take poor Benjamin's place.

Buttonless · 27/02/2025 21:07

Hate it. Do you know what it means? It’s a actual word in the dictionary.

Pigsinblankets13 · 27/02/2025 21:16

Another one who prefers it to Jude tbh!

cheseandme · 27/02/2025 21:17

I prefer Jude .

Ddakji · 27/02/2025 21:18

Whale
Bad luck

Umbrellah · 27/02/2025 21:18

Nice, but could be pronounced differently in a few languages if that matters to do. Eg German speaking would say Yoh-na rather than “J”.

AutumnColours9 · 27/02/2025 21:18

I love it

Crikeyalmighty · 27/02/2025 21:22

I like it
