Nina, Margot, Rosa or Juno - which do you prefer?

We already have a Theo and an Anna.

Rosa.

Juno, too born 2018
Margot, too born 2013
Nina, timeless, but quite similar to Anna.

Nora or Norma

Inastatus · 23/02/2025 21:17

Margot

GrainneIsAinmDom · 23/02/2025 21:19

I love Margot but am not keen on any of the others.

Rosa doesn't sound nice in my irish accent or in the English accents where I live (south east).

Juno is ok, but I think possibly was a bit trendy anfew years ago as there was a surge in them here.

Nina just isn't to my taste (it just is not a sound I like)

Nina

GiraffesAtThePark · 23/02/2025 21:20

Nina

YourWinter · 23/02/2025 21:21

Rosa.

MrsBungle · 23/02/2025 21:23

Rosa. Juno is horrible. Margo isn’t nice. Nina is middle aged.

DaisyPoppy7 · 23/02/2025 21:27

Margot

It was on my list alongside Evelyn and Poppy. Unfortunately, my friends have had children before me and have stolen all 3 names (obviously joking) so I’m going to have to think of names all over again 😂

Anxietysux · 23/02/2025 21:32

Margot

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/02/2025 21:41

Nina
Rosa (though I do prefer Rose)
Margot

Not Juno. Ever.

Neurotoxic · 23/02/2025 23:07

Nina is my favourite of the list.
Juno is bottom because of the film.

Theo, Anna and ..

Rose -10
Rosa - 9
Margot - 9
Nina - 7
Juno - 4

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 23/02/2025 23:55

Margot is too trendy again now for me, not sure if it will date and I don’t think Juno fits as well in style with Theo and Anna personally as it’s a bit more quirky imo.

Nina or Rosa for me - I prefer the sound of Nina but must admit I do really love Theo, Anna and Rosa together as a sibset (just the symmetry of the O in Rosa echoing Theo and the A in Rosa echoing Anna). But looking great written down/said together is probably not the best reason to pick children’s names 🤣, so either of those two.

MedusaAndHerFavourites · 23/02/2025 23:57

Theo, Anna and Rose sounds like a lovely combination.

puddingandsun · 24/02/2025 00:05

Not keen on either -sorry.
If considering other names I'd suggest
Marigold
Stella
Nova
Helena

flyinghen · 24/02/2025 06:36

Rosa

Cotswoldmama · 24/02/2025 06:46

Nina, others are OK but really popular especially Margot

Magpie69 · 24/02/2025 06:46

Sorry but not Juno. Hideous

Lulu1919 · 24/02/2025 06:47

Margot
Juno
Are my faves

namechangefornames · 24/02/2025 06:48

We have an Anna and a Nina - feels fine!

NotAPartyPerson · 24/02/2025 06:51

Rosa
Nina

Thanks. I am interested that so many have said they wouldn’t use Nina with Anna. I had questioned doing that but IRL people keep saying it’s fine, on here less so.

It is shame as Nina is probably my favourite of the names.

Juno is least popular here and I think I agree it’s in fourth place.

I do like Aphra, Nora and Olive too but my husband does not. He likes Nell but I’m not crazy about it.

I know sibs Nina and Anna and it's not an issue. Nina is the loveliest name. (Don't use Margot it will date horribly)

Cotswoldmama · 24/02/2025 07:08

I know 3 sisters whose names all end in a 'ah' sound. My boys names end in the same sound, I do t think it's an issue

nitrofueled · 24/02/2025 07:09

Rosa

Emanwenym · 24/02/2025 07:29

@Cotswoldmama , I think it depends on the names. If the names were Georgina, Olivia and Victoria, I wouldn't notice, but I would if they were Anna, Nina and Rosa.
