Sebastian or Oswald?

we can't decide on:

Sebestian (seb)
Oswald (Ozzy)

I realise they are quite strange names but don't want anything ordinary.

Any thoughts?

Sebastian? [strokes teddy, skips in fey manner]
Seb? [instantly becomes rugger bugger sloane]
Oswald? [blinks owlishly]
Ozzy? [bites head off chicken]

Am I the only person on Mumsnet who has no idea who Oswald Mosley is?

My Dh is an Oswaldo.

He hates hates hates his name, and goes by Ozzie, which is actually quite cool on him. Oswald is just as bad imo.

Funnily enough I wanted to call out recently born ds Sebastien, which I think is a beautiful name, and he absulutely hated that name too!

My DH is Sebastian. It's nice, but to be honest, I find Sebastian a lot to say all the time. Most people call him Seb, except for his mother. Then I feel obliged to call him Sebastian in front of her and it comes out sounding horrible and affected But it might just be her

Can't imagine Oswald'd be any easier, though. I prefer Sebastian.

Oswald Mosely was a Fascist and friend of Hitler (in reply to belgo). A bit like calling your baby Adolf!
Sebastain quite nice. A big NO to Oswald.
