I'm only 6 weeks + 3 pregnant. But my partner and I are already thinking of names (as many do)

We LOVE for girls

Rosabella (would probably spell Roseabella)
Louella

For boys

Ronnie
Sully

Let me know you opinions! X

I like Rosabella - this spelling... I personally love Rosabel because it's simplier
maybe you'll like Lovisa - Swedish version of Louisa?

I don't like your boys names, but I don't like nicknames in general.

Firsttimebabymummy · 30/01/2025 18:22

I like Sully as a nn for Sullivan.

Not keen on your others if I'm honest. Maybe Rosalind? Rose? Rosabel is better too as suggested above.

BashfulClam · 30/01/2025 18:23

I like the girls names but not the boys as I don’t like nicknames used as actual names.

GloriousBlue · 30/01/2025 18:33

Rosabella is lovely, very feminine.

I also love Sully.

Other suggestions that give me a similar vibe:

Isabella, Florence, Gabrielle, Elodie

Sunny, Max, Rocco

Italiangreyhound · 30/01/2025 18:41

Sully as a short for Sullivan is good.

Italiangreyhound · 30/01/2025 18:43

Rosabella is nice and I prefer that spelling.

Soubriquet · 30/01/2025 18:47

I personally don’t like any of those names, but that’s just me. Not my child

mummysmagicmedicine · 30/01/2025 18:49

Not 100% on Roseabella personally, just think it’s a little bit of a mouthful!
I love Louella but spelt Luella I prefer slightly!

Never personally liked Ronnie just reminds me of one of those snot covered children🙈.
I do like Sully but I would have Sullivan with Sully as a nickname instead!

Pickandmixusername · 30/01/2025 18:54

None of your names are to my taste, but I love Rosanna as an alternative to Roseabella

Or,

Aurora
Arabella
Annabel

TomatoSandwiches · 30/01/2025 18:54

Roseabella is a mouthful, too much for me, Louella I just don't like, it may work in the US?

Sully is ok as a nn for Sullivan, Ronnie I don't like, what about Roald or Robert?

BBQPete · 30/01/2025 18:57

Honestly ? (you did ask ?)
Awful.

Except Ronnie - which wouldn't be my choice but is okay.

EcruCardigan · 30/01/2025 19:53

Rosabella - soulds like a disease, (would probably spell Roseabella) - awful
Louella - better

Ronnie - great
Sully - awful

MrsMoastyToasty · 30/01/2025 20:06

You want to name a child after him?

I'd like you opinions on these names
shoopshoopdedoo · 30/01/2025 21:09

Hmm, I don’t like any of them. The boys options, if used as nicknames, are much better than Rosabella. Rose is lovely.

Inspired by your list, I like:

Louella
Rosalba
Rose
Belinda
Sabine

Solomon - Sol
Tully
Ronald
Llewis
Lloyd

berksandbeyond · 31/01/2025 07:48

You need to remember you're naming a human, not just a baby. Louella is cute on a toddler with bunches but she might not thank you for it later.

Ronnie is a 'naughty boy' name if that bothers you.

EcruCardigan · 31/01/2025 09:40

Llewis?

EcruCardigan · 31/01/2025 10:19

The usual spelling is Luella, which is less fussy.

Jessieshome · 31/01/2025 10:23

Rosabella (would probably spell Roseabella) - Rosabella is lovely, may very well get shortened but people to Rose or Rosie, which are also lovely in my opinion.
The Roseabella spelling though makes it look like a disease or a condition though, to me, I don't know why, I think it's the extra 'e', (thinking Rubella or Rosacea)!

Also I'd be confused at pronunciation, for example is it Ro-sha-bella, Ro-zea- bella.

Louella - really pretty, really sweet

For boys
Ronnie - cheeky, cockney chap
Sully - I like it, nice, Sullivan is a cool name too.

In my opinion x

My thoughts exactly.

Ronnie + Sully makes me think snooker
