Expecting first baby, a daughter.
Husband is very keen on Maude (also open to Maud). My name is Morgane and I am often called Morg, worried it might sound too similar. Other than that I like it. Thoughts?

I love that it’s little old lady vibes but this lovely youthful beautiful Maude will challenge that connotation. Justice for all the little old lady Mauds who used to be young and stunning!

I wonder if those who hate Maud also hate Audrey. Know a few little Audrey and Aubreys! In fact Aubrey is apparently the ultimate cool boy name at the moment.

I know a baby Audrey and can confirm I think it's a terrible name.

Alice Maude Mary was my Grans name. I've always liked it. Everyone called her Maude or Maudie because her mother was called Alice. No idea why she called her daughter her own name.
