My cousin has suggested this as a band for my DD but I hate it. DH said its OK although not his fave. I think it sounds chavy tbh, especially the awful spelling! Thoughts?

Leckseigh-Payje looks better written down.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 12/01/2025 18:01

Lexi looks really boring in front of something as yooneeq as Payje. The hyphen is also over-used, there is much nicer punctuation out there. What about Lekzi//Payje

Beautiful 👌 but I think it works better for a boy…

I think it would be nicer with an extra i at the end of Lexi so like Lexii
i like that spelling of Payje it’s really uneek

It would get said Lechseh Paiyej where I am. Maybe try that spelling?

I work with kids and we never roll our eyes at some names. Honest.

And we would never pronounce them as they are spelt...of course not!

KimFan · 12/01/2025 18:22

Yep, chavvy and cheap. Avoid!

NewYorkherewecome · 12/01/2025 18:41

Just when you think you’ve heard the worst name someone comes up with a new one which is truly terrible.

I agree. It would be even nicer if OP could stick Mae somehow in there too.

n o

just no

HugoYorway · 12/01/2025 18:57

I'd spell it Lexzii-Paeje. Seems fresh, timeless and youneek. Perfect for when she becomes a High Court Judge or Head of a prestigious school.

littleluncheon · 12/01/2025 19:01

Name her Alexandra Paige and call her Lexiii-Payyj for short.

Bienemaias · 12/01/2025 20:00

This is some lame mumsnet bait

I know...! Why are so many people responding??Confused

9tee · 12/01/2025 20:00

I'm sorry but it looks like the alphabet vomited.

Andoutcomethewolves · 12/01/2025 20:03

I quite like Alexis Paige (not double barrelled) but that suggestion is a travesty.

averitablevampire · 13/01/2025 07:17

I think your cousin has got the spelling wrong, Leksea Paydge or Lecksie Payj, or you could soften the 'Paige' and have Payzh (like the zh sound in measure) would be waaaay more unique.

(Lexi / Alexa and various related names are lovely, so is the name Paige, but I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to spelling).

DenmarkStreet · 13/01/2025 07:20

A lifetime of being nicknamed Flexi pay.

On second thoughts...I LOVE it in a Wigan accent.

Lekseh Purge

Sounds like an Electricity North West sub-station fault - and I think it could catch on.

I must say, Snidely-Whiplash is a tremendous name in its own right.

Ihopeithinkiknow · 13/01/2025 08:14

Why are some posters saying this is bullshit and lame Mumsnet bait lol this isn't even as bad as some of the horrendous names out there right now and that is saying something lol I reckon I know a couple of people who wouldn't think twice about using this name

PLHJ84 · 13/01/2025 08:31
