But thinking about it, Ralph Vaughan Williams was pronounced Rafe. I'd ask her.

Ralf but if she said Rafe then it'd be Rafe.

And warn her to expect it misspelt

Sounds like an interesting book Aimsmum . Just wanted everyone's opinion as she says it's prounced Rafe, but I think he will struggle in later life bless him, with most people pronouncing it Ralph. Ah well, makes life more interesting I suppose.

i always thought ralph fiennes pronounced it as rafe because he was really really posh and just said it funny!
