What about:

Harry instead of Harley?

Jon or James/ Jamie instead of Jaycee

MrsMattie · 18/04/2008 18:14

Talia / Thalia is very pretty in my opinion. I thought it was Greek? Nay to the others.

MegSophandEmma · 18/04/2008 18:17

Love Lexie!! Used to have a friend called Alexis her name was shortened to Lexie

Ayomi · 18/04/2008 18:18

I like Thalia - more so with the h I think

MegSophandEmma · 18/04/2008 18:19

Harley is nice for a boy.

Jaycee reminds me of the rapper JayZ

buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:20

My daughters called Ebony,we shorten her's to Eby so Alexis shortened to Lexi would be lovely

The onle one I like is Lexie.

Thalia/Talia is quite common now isnt it.
Not my cuppa though.

Don't like either of the boys names.

buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:21

OP posts:
buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:24

If i called her Lexi do u think ppl will think it sound shortened 4 Alexis or Alexandra?

OP posts:
janeite · 18/04/2008 18:25

I know it's not American; I was trying to find a way of describing how I feel the names as a "collection" sound, without offending Buzzybee!

How about Leah?

ImightbeLulumama · 18/04/2008 18:26

i thikn poeople will presume it is shortened from something

what about lily?

MegSophandEmma · 18/04/2008 18:26

He is a good rapper though lololol

Harley is lovely. It is quite rare I belive and its not weird either.

buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:26

lol thanks janeite. Leah is cute

OP posts:
MegSophandEmma · 18/04/2008 18:28

buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:28

MegSophandEmma · 18/04/2008 18:30

buzzzybee · 18/04/2008 18:36

I think so! That and the fact i still have all ebys gorgeous little clothes,ha. my bump is very high this time though but they say it mostly is like that with ur 2nd don't they. But if i go by all the old wives tales it's definitely a boy as it's like a football all at the front. Grr, i wanna know!

branflake81 · 18/04/2008 18:47

I know a dog called Harley

SmoothandWilkie · 18/04/2008 18:51

Nope - nasty names, sorry!

AbbeyA · 18/04/2008 18:58

Sorry-a big NO to all.

vanloadtovenice · 18/04/2008 21:38

What about Alexa and Hector?

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/04/2008 21:42

Am seriously hoping that you have a girl based on those choices!

Lexie is my fave, but Talia/Thalia nice too.

harpomarx · 18/04/2008 21:44

I think you should listen to your own voice Buzzybee - you know what kind of family you are and what names would suit.

but, since you asked, I quite like all of them.
Talia would be somewhere on my list for a girl
a friend had a Lexie, I think it's great (prefer Alexa to Alexis though)
Jaycee is ok for a boy
ditto Harley

no prob with any of them - don't see why people are trying to swap your distinctive list for Harry, James and Hector. So different!
