Hey everyone, we're really struggling with names and would love some opinions. We're set on Margaret as a middle name.

Our top three at the moment are:
Vanessa Margaret
Nina Margaret
Zoe Margaret

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

All those are nice names. I also like Julia.

I like Nina best of your choices, but Phoebe Margaret popped into my head and I think it sounds lovely.

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/07/2024 13:21

Nina Margaret but all go well 🙂

FayCarew · 24/07/2024 13:23

It seems an odd way of deciding on a name. Middle names are rarely used and she'll be Firstname Surname most of the time.
Most names will go with Margaret, and Nina, Vanessa and Zoe are all nice.

Why don't you use Margaret as the first name, or use a diminutive as a day-to-day name?
Meg, Greta, Rita, Maggie, Peggy, Daisy are all pleasant diminutives.
Margot is currently popular.

drspouse · 24/07/2024 13:24

As it's quite a long middle name with a fair few syllables, I'd go with something short - Ella, Sophie, Zoe, Nina.
Daisy is lovely but Margaret literally means Daisy!
I would personally be more inclined to go for something old fashioned however - Ruby, Rose, Anna, Ruth, Ada, Ivy, Grace, Faith, Hope.

thursdaymurderclub · 24/07/2024 13:40

My first thought was Annabelle ..

user1492757084 · 24/07/2024 13:51

Rose Margaret is very fine.

skinnyoptionsonly · 24/07/2024 13:53

Margaret as a first name is lovely

palomatoast · 24/07/2024 13:55

Rosa Margaret?

Codlingmoths · 24/07/2024 13:59

Beatrice Margaret would be lovely!

StormingNorman · 24/07/2024 14:08

Rose Margaret was my first thought.

Claudia Margaret
Isobel Margaret
Eleanore Margaret

GonnaeNoDaeThatJustGonnaeNo · 24/07/2024 14:09

Louise Margaret was on our shortlist

FayCarew · 24/07/2024 14:13

@drspouse "Margaret literally means Daisy!"
That is not true.
A marguerite is a type of daisy.
Margaret means pearl.

I hate the word literally.
