Last post.... I hope!
Juliet. What do you think? Is it likely to be shortened? Is there teasing potential with Romeo and Juliet or should we be okay?
It's the name I loved for a girl as a teenager but got loads of along the years.

OP posts:

Juliet is pretty but be prepared for some saying it as Julie-ette.

Surely only if spelled Juliette?

No, my mate is Juliet but gets that pronunciation more often.

@bluebunnys , no, which is precisely why I said it.

I have a brilliant friend named Juliet. Doesn’t suit her. She goes by Yeti. 😁

YourAmberFawn · 25/03/2025 21:33

I think it’s a lovely name. I’d definitely use this name, potentially as a middle name as there are names I like more. But a beautiful name.

StScholastica · 27/03/2025 20:56

Beautiful, the one I know gets the nickname "Jet".

tsmainsqueeze · 27/03/2025 21:07

Beautiful.

It’s my sister’s name - she tends to get called Jules by others . I called her yetti when I was little as I couldn’t pronounce it 🤣, my Ds called her du et for the same reason but we both manage now .

I work with another Juliette always uses her full name

Purplecatshopaholic · 27/03/2025 21:11

Love Juliet, so pretty, classy, timeless. Ettie is terrible though, sorry.

2025mustbebetter · 27/03/2025 21:13

One of my favourite names!

Snooks1971 · 27/03/2025 21:18

Beautiful name!

I had a primary school friend called Juliet. Pretty name. She was occasionally called Ju-ju but never Julie.
