Tash, that'll be nice when she's older. I like it.

MrsCarrot · 09/04/2008 20:52

Netball, goal attack, a mean elbow.

gingerninja · 09/04/2008 20:52

nice, very nice actually

fleximum · 09/04/2008 20:53

Makes me think of Russians and Tolstoy. Nice though. A little unusual nut not too out of the ordinary.

VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 09/04/2008 20:54

Nice.

ScaryHairy · 09/04/2008 20:56

I like it a lot, and it is starting to get more popular but is still not very common as a first name. I've met a lot of little girls with Natasha as a second name or parents who had it on their short-list. I wanted it for my DD, but DH named her while I was in a morphine haze!!

HairyToe · 09/04/2008 20:56

reminds me of a girl who the boys called Moose-tasha (obv she was judges to be not v. attractive). Any adult Natashas that I have met are known as Tash or Tasha.

hippipotami · 09/04/2008 20:57

Like it. I am Dutch and there were a few (but not too many) Natasha's at my school. I also like the abbreviated Tash, or even when Natasha is a toddler, Tashie.

Yes, I like it

don't really like it - prefer Natalie

dizzydixies · 09/04/2008 23:36

its ok but prefer Natalia nn tally

canofworms · 09/04/2008 23:40

It's one of my dd's names! So obviously I like it.

It's unusual but not so much that she gets teased about it. Only person to comment was bil who said it sounds like a russian shot-putter - he has no kids!

I shorten it to "Tash" occasionally but she hates that

CountessDracula · 10/04/2008 00:00

Very nice
My niece is Natasha or Tash or Tasha

hotchocscot · 10/04/2008 00:05

i like it too classy. does make me link to Kaplinsky too, but sure that'll fade in a year or two (especially if she stays on Five News ha ha)

Lazylou · 10/04/2008 00:23

I like it. DD is Natalie and I hate Nat. I'd prefer it in its full form, rather than shortened to Tash etc

serenity · 10/04/2008 00:54

My SILs name - DD shortens it to 'Tasha, which is quite sweet.

Albert · 10/04/2008 01:00

I really like it but isn't she a Backyardigan? Do you have them in the UK? I assume so.
