Albert - what's a Backyardigan?!

It's an OK - I wouldn't screw up my nose in horror but it wouldn't be one I would choose. Which is maybe why you should!

Anna8888 · 10/04/2008 08:51

I think it's pretty but a bit vulgar .

I prefer Anastasia or Nastasia.

Janni · 10/04/2008 22:24

I'm still wondering what a Backyardigan is?

hana · 10/04/2008 22:28

backyardigan - children's tv characters, used to be on cbeebies I thought? or maybe 5 or itv

Janni · 10/04/2008 22:35

Oh thanks!

I was imagining it was some sort of insult eg a girl next door who's a bit free with her favours!!!!

DontCallMeBaby · 10/04/2008 22:37

Backyardigans never on Cbeebies, we catch it when TMF does a bit of Nick Jr in the mornings so guess it's on Nick Jr. Tasha is a yellow hippo with an attitude.

That is NOT the first thing that springs to mind when I hear Natasha though, perfectly nice name.

kittywise · 10/04/2008 22:40

sounds a bit 'common' to me

Janni · 11/04/2008 22:33

Pplleeaassee can someone else post on this thread. I have a Natasha very close to me and I do not want the thread to end on 'vulgar and 'common' !!!!!

janeite · 11/04/2008 22:36

I don't think it's common. I teach a Natasha and she is gorgeous!

grumpybum · 11/04/2008 22:41

2 in my daughters class so I think it must be quite common but my dd name is Olivia and she is 1 of 2 in her class too!

roquefortlover · 11/04/2008 22:45

I also have a Natasha close to me, love the name and all its shortenings. IME/O not common in any sense of the word - she is the only one I know so it is still quite an unusual name these days

itsahardknocklife · 11/04/2008 22:56

I think it's nice. I have a cousin called Natasha and a friend of mine has a baby called it too. It's nice, normal yet uncommon.

Janni · 11/04/2008 23:01

Thankyou

i would be wary if the women in your family are prone to hairiness....i say this as i had a friend Tash who indeed had a tache. very unfortunate.

KristinaM · 11/04/2008 23:04
