Any thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
rwa818 · 15/05/2024 23:20

Horrible, if you have to at least spell it Jackson

tuvamoodyson · 16/05/2024 21:06

Awful.

takemeawayagain · 16/05/2024 21:10

Chav version of Jackson surely?

RogueFemale · 18/05/2024 01:37

Chavvy.

abracadabra1980 · 18/05/2024 08:03

Chav name and spelling

angelshine123 · 29/05/2024 21:07

Absolutely hate this name

zingally · 30/05/2024 14:40

That spelling is chavvy as all heck. Needs to be Jackson, if at all.

seafronty · 31/05/2024 05:49

There has never been a well behaved Jaxon or variation of. Expect them to be excluded, get a surron e bike, and just wear black head to toe. Your house will smell like weed.

Sunflowergirl1 · 31/05/2024 06:30

The sort of name given to a poor child by some poorly educated mother, star struck by the stupid names given to babies by celebs.

Frankly awful

WakyWally · 23/03/2025 18:29

It sounds ok but the spelling? No. Its like a few names with weird spellings. Jole and Jaycob for instance

JazbayGrapes · 26/03/2025 15:39

just spell it normally - Jackson

mathanxiety · 26/03/2025 17:15

Jackson is nice.

There's a lot of sniffing about "American" names here, but the tradition of surnames as names is actually Scottish, and it wasn't unusual even in England in Victorian times.

I don't like Jaxon. In the US it would indicate parents who are not well educated, and probably in the UK too. It would be a shame to send a child into the world with that sort of image to live down.

mathanxiety · 26/03/2025 17:16

And yes, as an Irish person, the jax means the loo.

Littlefish · 26/03/2025 17:17

The name is ok, the spelling is awful.

JillAndJenTheFlowerpotMen · 26/03/2025 17:20

I’m usually a stickler for traditional names, kings of England for boys, possibly saints, but I have always liked this one. I think it’s a good solid name and the chav accusations are unpleasant and off the mark.

MrsSunshine2b · 26/03/2025 17:37

It's a tacky name which will date awfully. It's also the kind of name which sends a chill up a teacher's spine when they see it in their class list for the next year.

IdaGlossop · 26/03/2025 17:41

I worked with someone whose son's name was Jaxon. I must admit to having been (silently) horrified when I learnt how it was spelt. It looks like a brand of loo cleaner.

sanityisamyth · 26/03/2025 18:29

It’s an awful name but that spelling is atrocious.

SwanOfThoseThings · 26/03/2025 18:32

Thread is from May 2024 so little Jaxon, if OP went for it, has presumably arrived in the world and been named.

CarrieOnComplaining · 26/03/2025 18:38

Not my personal choice because I wouldn’t choose the American surname trend, and I don’t favour made up spellings.

But people like different things, I manage not to have a snobbery outbreak, if you love it, great!

THUNK! To self. ZOMBIE!

Heatedblanky · 26/03/2025 18:41

I know one Jaxon - his mother is only 19 so I guess that helps explain it.

YourEarsCouldWinPrizes · 26/03/2025 19:00

Klaxon.

Dont be so silly, you sound like Katie Hopkins.

Any teacher who says they don't have a good idea which kids are going to be hard work just by reading the register is fibbing. I'm yet to meet a well behaved Kayden, Hayden, Jayden, Alfie or Archie and I'm yet to meet a well behaved Jaxon.

And just like everyone knows how old Tracey is before meeting her, everyone will also know how old Jaxon is.

And what are you implying by this comment exactly?
