Really struggling to name DD, please can you choose your favourite?
Middle name Elizabeth.

Zara or Lydia

penelopewalks · 27/04/2024 07:56

Talia is a really ugly name.
Zara and Lydia are lovely, Zara goes better with Elizabeth.

outlandishly · 27/04/2024 07:58

Zara, but I do like the Zahra spelling more.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 27/04/2024 08:10

either Zara or Lydia. I find Lydia Elizabeth hard to say so with that middle name would probably go Zara

LittleBoPeepHasLostHerShit · 27/04/2024 08:11

Lydia is super beautiful.

MississippiAF · 27/04/2024 08:12

Zara or Lydia.

Definitely not Talia.

Needanewname42 · 27/04/2024 08:17

1, Zara Elizabeth is easy to say.

2, Lydia Elizabeth just doesn't go. Both are lovely, just not together.

3, Talia, no sorry, for some reason it sounds like it's short for something. It also makes me think Taliban.

Beatrixslobber · 27/04/2024 08:19

Lydia is awful.
Talia I don’t like or dislike.
Zara is beautiful.

theduchessofspork · 27/04/2024 08:23

I love Lydia

Like Zara - although there are a lot of Zara. Clara and Laras about

Talia is nothing-y to me

If you think Lydia Elizabeth is a bit awkward you could always go for
Lydia Zara Elizabeth which sounds fine. But really second names don’t get used so it doesn’t matter.

Yeah, but no one uses middle names, so I wouldn’t base my first name choice on that

GlowyJoey · 27/04/2024 08:45

Love both Zara and Lydia. As PP’s have said, Lydia Elizabeth is a bit of a tongue twister so I think Zara goes best with the middle name. My favourite name on its own is probably Lydia.

Moreteaandchocolate · 27/04/2024 08:48

Lydia is lovely! I personally would prefer to be called Lydia of the 3 names. My teenage daughter would probably prefer to be called Zara or Talia though!

(also just to consider - Zara and Talia might get misheard as Sara / Natalia sometimes, if that bothers you)

Bobbybobbins · 27/04/2024 08:56

Zara is my favourite of those

Maybe but one of my kids names rolls together much better than the other one. And I regret not putting more thought into it.

Nicebloomers · 27/04/2024 09:46

I prefer Lydia as Zara Elizabeth is a bit ‘royal’ for me. Dislike Talia.

salamithumbs · 27/04/2024 10:00

Surprised to see so many people dislike Talia, I think it's a nice name! I used to know a Talia who was sometimes nicknamed Tallie.
I like Lydia too, not a big fan of Zara but not sure why as I like Sara, Lara and Cara!

WhoppingBigBackside · 27/04/2024 11:31

Lydia

bingoringo4 · 27/04/2024 11:42

Lydia by far

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 27/04/2024 11:46

My favourite is Lydia but I don’t think Lydia Elizabeth works at all where as Zara Elizabeth is beautiful.
Not keen on Talia

WildCherryBlossom · 27/04/2024 12:36

I think Talia is beautiful! Amazed some people don't like it.

WhoppingBigBackside · 27/04/2024 13:48

It looks like a shortening of Natalia. I don't dislike it but it seems incomplete.
Zara seems to be popular but I find it a bit ordinary.

Sunnnybunny72 · 27/04/2024 13:53

Zara

Thorfire · 27/04/2024 14:18

Love Talia!
find Lydia a really really ugly name

checkedshirts · 27/04/2024 14:26

Lydia (unless your surname is dustbin or teapot)

TeenLifeMum · 27/04/2024 14:29

I love Lydia (And it’s my dd1’s name). I think Lydia Elizabeth is simple to say, but depends on the surname. Another option could be Lydia Beth …. Surname.

Zara is fine but Talia sounds like you forgot the first part of the name - Natalia.
