Really struggling to name DD, please can you choose your favourite?
Middle name Elizabeth.

Another option could be Lydia Beth. No. Elizabeth is nice, Beth isn't.

BoleynMemories13 · 27/04/2024 14:52

I love Lydia but Lydia Elizabeth is a really mouthful. I wouldn't use a 3 syllable name with a 4 syllable middle name.

Zara would be my next choice. I'm less keen, but it goes nicely with Elizabeth.

Talia doesn't sound nice to my ears and has pronunciation issues. Tah-lee-ah or Tar-lee-uh.

What about Lara? Lara Elizabeth is gorgeous. Clara?

cariadlet · 27/04/2024 14:55

Lydia is lovely.

Lydia Elizabeth is a mouthful but how often do people say both first and middle names together? I don't think it's a problem.

MumOfOneAwesomeHuman · 27/04/2024 15:14

Think I'm the only one but I love Talia.

HAF1119 · 27/04/2024 15:16

Zara

AvonCallingBarksdale · 27/04/2024 15:17

It’s Thalia with an H though I think. Order would be
Thalia
Zara (v pop now)
Lydia (nice but people often cite Chlamydia on MN when someone mentions Lydia)

boymamaof2 · 27/04/2024 15:24

The only one I like of these three is Zara, and really dislike the other two. Also Zara Elizabeth is the only one that flows so if I was you it would definitely be Zara

timoteigirl · 27/04/2024 15:27

Lydia.
Please no to Talia. I prefer Tashia to Talia.
Would you consider Xenya?

WhoppingBigBackside · 27/04/2024 15:34

Tashia isn't a name, is it? Talia is more popular than Thalia.

petitdonkey · 27/04/2024 15:35

Talia was my name that got away! DH really wanted it but I was worried about pronunciation issues - Tal-ya Tal-e-uh Tar-lee-uh - I couldn’t figure exactly how to pronounce it myself so didn’t use it and have regretted it since- we went with Ava and then it blew up and was everywhere!! (Dd is 18 so a long time ago!)
her middle name is Lydia which I adore and was only put off by people suggesting the middle name would be Lyds/lids! We’re in Essex so the accent doesn’t help!! (Although I couldn’t have predicted ‘alright Ave?’ 😂)

Tashia isn't a name, is it? Talia is more popular than Thalia.

I have come across it before. Didn't ask, just thought it is the end of a name like Talia is from Natalia so Tashia or Tasha is probably from Natasha.

savethatkitty · 27/04/2024 16:13

Not Lydia. I know a Lydia with the nickname 'lil' which I think is awful. Sorry

YoureStuckOnMeLikeATattoohoohoo · 27/04/2024 16:16

Love Talia, Lydia is a bit meh to me, and Zara Elizabeth sounds royal.

SkaneTos · 27/04/2024 16:42

I voted for Lydia, but all three of them are lovely names!

shoopshoopdedoo · 27/04/2024 19:01

Like Zara and Lydia

Ellmau · 28/04/2024 12:21

Lydia is lovely but Zara goes better with Elizabeth. A bit of a royal vibe with that combination though.

purplehills32 · 28/04/2024 12:38

Definitely Talia 😊 it's lovely!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 28/04/2024 14:59

I tend to like traditional/ classic names so Lydia Elizabeth for me.

Zara is okay but I personally prefer the other “ara” names ( apart from Tara) - Lara especially is so pretty but Cara, Sara and even Mara have their charms too.

Talia is nice enough and would be my 2nd pick. I presume you are spelling it that way as you want it pronounced with a short “a”.

VelvetBow · 28/04/2024 15:02

Zara and Lydia were on my girls list so I love both. Zara goes better with Elizabeth.

user1492757084 · 29/04/2024 07:13

Zara is my fave.

Lidia is nice but sounds clunky with Elizabeth
Talia is not a name I would use.
