Great name. Go for it! It would have been on out shortlist but our surname starts with S and it sounded silly.

HalfBloodPrincess · 21/04/2024 22:50

I have an almost 20 year old Stanley. He loves his name! I’ve always had lots of compliments on it.

cheapskatemum · 21/04/2024 23:01

Love it. My Grandad was called Stanley & he was an amazing guy.

Firsttimebabymummy · 22/04/2024 16:39

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 22/04/2024 16:43

No not for me but if you love it go for it

ginasevern · 22/04/2024 17:03

I like it but also associate it with Eminem.

Have you read the book holes?

Stanley Yelnats is the hero of the story
Your child will no doubt read that book in a few years

I know a 13yo Stanley. He is awesome and his name suits him perfectly.

useitorlose · 22/04/2024 17:36

I was a student nurse on a maternity placement in 1987 and someone named their baby Stanley. It was a really unusual choice at that time. Now I just think 'cup'!

calishire · 22/04/2024 18:30

Terrible

ShoveItUpYourArseMargaret · 22/04/2024 18:39

I love it too. Also love ‘Frank’.

FayCarew · 23/04/2024 18:47

It's fine. Fits in with names like Frank.
