Baby Boy Name - Warren

Hi All,

Really struggling with baby boy names. What do you think of Warren?

To me it's along the same lines as Darren.

It's dated and not very nice for a little baby.

There's so many nicer boys names 🤷‍♀️

Ooh - no, it makes me think of rabbits - also it’s from the Darren and Gary era so very dated.

Only if you preface it with Rabbit.

Very retro sounding - it kind of reminds me of Glen in a similar style, old fashioned “nature” names that you rarely hear that much anymore. Dont love it, don’t hate it either- though I admit I’d be surprised to hear it on baby rather than an older man.

Still with your family links I think you should at least use it for a middle name, even if you find something you like better for the first.If you do use it as a first, I’d give him a more timeless/always popular middle name to fall back on - your Thomas, William, James, Edward, Alexander, Joseph, Daniel etc sort of name.

No. It's really bad.

Just sat your post that it's your mum's maiden name. It's totally fine a surname or even middle name (my DD has a surname as a middle name also) but dear God not as a first name!

I knew of an older Warren who wasn't nice to people. Everyone called him 'Warren aresehole'. Food for thought..

My XH was called Warren. Awful man.

I only know one who would be in his 70s now. He was a crook and was given a prison sentence although I don’t think he ever served it. So I’m another with bad associations.
