Thought on Felicity?

Dh suggested it, I can't make up my mind if I like it or not.

I have a Felicity- love it.
But don’t use it, I don’t want too many 😂

Oh and DD, 4.5 is most insistent on only Felicity. She absolutely refuses any nicknames and will correct anyone that dares to try Fliss or Flick. I sometimes call her Flossie as that’s my dad’s pet name for me. I get glared at 😂

Not my personal choice for name or nicknames, but you do you.

All I think of is the TV show Felicity and how when she cut her hair the shows ratings dropped and the show was cut. It ended up resulting in clauses in TV contracts about how you can't change your appearance without permission. Huge drama back in the day.

My absolute favourite girls name, if I had a girl I would have chosen it.

If my daughter had had a girl this was the name she chose ( she had 3 boys) . I absolutely love it.
It's a simply stunning name.

I have a Felicity too, she's nearly 3.

We call her Flicky or Fliss a lot of the time ☺

I don't regret our choice at all, we have had really nice comments on her name too!

I'm afraid I don't like it at all - too frilly and too many syllables for me. But it's whether you like it that counts. It's certainly not a bad name in any way.

Love it, I know a couple of felicity's one adult one child and both are the definition of the name!
Between them their nicknames are fizz, fliss, flick and Flossie dependant on what group of people they are in

I hate it! It's a horrible mouthful! Its my name and I avoid using it at all times.
I go by Fliss (at work too) or Flissy to close friends. I refused to have it on my wedding invitations as I dislike it so much!

I get called it properly by drs and other 'official' things as obviously its the name on my records and it really jars when people say it!

Your DD could be me! I’m the same only 40 odd years older! I refuse to answer to anyone who shortens it!

I have a Felicity and I love it.

It's not a popular name so there aren't any others at her school and it doesn't get shortened. She lives up to her name and is a very happy child!

It’s a lovely name. It’s just a shame I’ve really disliked most girls/women I’ve met with that name! Quite popular in upper middle class circles knew a few pony loving bitches unfortunately

I quite like it but it doesn’t go for the theme I’m going for 🥲as others have more common names would use otherwise

I have always hated it as it sounds really frilly and old fashioned to me. The brother of Felicity would by Quentin in my head - also hideous to my ear. I'm sure it was also a brand of sanitary towels my mum used decades ago when I was little.

I have a 3 month old Felicity too! Beautiful name which I hadn't considered until a friend suggested it when I was pregnant and struggling to find something just right. I love it!
