Hit me with them. I tend to sway towards them. Love the sound of them but can't choose one. Boys and girls. Thanks

Michael and Gabriel. Michael appears in OT and NT, which is lovely

Matthew, Luke (both vetoed for my DSs by DH) , Benjamin

Saints names also nice and full of meaning eg Christopher

For girls, Rachael is now so unusual but a great name. I like Esther, Miriam and Abigail atm.

I really like Moses and Zipporah.
I have 3 boys with common biblical names, a girl would have been Hannah or Martha

There's more than one nick name! Bram Stoker was Abraham.

My son is Abraham, known day to day as Bram, its a fab day to day name, but he has a few options when he grows up.

He decided he wanted Abraham on his dance exam certificates.

Point taken.

Oh and I've remembered a nice boy's name: Caleb.

useitorlose · 29/02/2024 17:34

DD is Lydia Eve (but she was named after Lydia Bennett, not the seller of purple cloth!)

Jesus

Ahab, Jezebel and Naboth.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/02/2024 21:18

Asa for a boy - would have used it if it wasn’t for the fact some people mistakenly pronounce it “Asser” and that nn Ace is also short for Asexual. I still love it though - one of the few boys palindrome names! Quite like the sound of Matthias too.

Mehetabel for a girl if I was super brave - but since that’s a bit much, maybe pretty sounding Talitha ( if I didn’t mind the Tabitha confusion) ,Damaris or Keziah.

Completely forgot Hannah and Felix, I love those names.

On the jokey theme, my mum used to tell me that, if I'd been a boy, she'd have gone with the biblical classic Malashallahashbash. But I've never found it in the bible so she may have made that up!

She was spelling it wrong: Mahershalalhashbaz

Isaiah 8

bridgetreilly · 07/03/2024 21:51

I’d have a Hezekiah and a Vashti.

CadyEastman · 08/03/2024 19:39

Elijah and Hannah
