Baby girl due end of April

Our top two, after weeks and weeks of filtering down, are....

Paige

Ruby

Middle name is settled regardless - Abra. Pronounced Ay(like hay) bra.

I like Paige better, but think Ruby sounds better with Abra.

DustyLee123 · 21/01/2024 12:19

Why don’t you call her April, it’s a lovely name.
Of the too I prefer Ruby.

username268 · 21/01/2024 12:45

I prefer Ruby. I also think it sounds better with Abra

BoleynMemories13 · 21/01/2024 13:36

Ruby is lovely and sounds fine with the middle name.

I don't like Paige and don't think Paige Abra flows as a combination (it's the repeated ay sound which doesn't sound right).

Definitely Ruby!

NachosAndCheese · 21/01/2024 13:37

Ruby flows better with Abra but I’m not sure I could choose either.

aibutohavethisusername · 21/01/2024 13:40

Ruby

Onelife2024 · 21/01/2024 13:44

Definitely Ruby - a gorgeous name!

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 21/01/2024 13:45

Paige… gorgeous name and barely used too many little Ruby’s and let’s face it no one knows middle names so just choose the first name you love

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 21/01/2024 13:46

paige isn’t bad but prefer ruby

shoopshoopdedoo · 21/01/2024 14:20

Ruby, definitely

lightelmqueen · 21/01/2024 14:20

Of the two I'd go with Paige, its a lovely name. I do actually really like the sound of Abra and would be tempted to use that, although completely understand if its been chosen as a middle name for a reason

Amy1998 · 21/01/2024 14:21

Ruby Abra is better

IsThePopeCatholic · 21/01/2024 14:21

Ruby.

BrutusMcDogface · 21/01/2024 14:23

Ruby Abra
Paige abra

See, personally I don’t think Ruby flows better with Abra at all.

Abra Paige?

PickledScrump · 21/01/2024 14:31

Ruby definitely doesn’t work with Abra. To me it’s a bit of a stereotypical stripper name like Crystal and Sapphire, although it’s become incredibly popular.

Paige is beautiful though, and less commonly used, I only know of one. Paige Abra sounds lovely

GLC789 · 21/01/2024 15:24

Thank you all.

Mixed responses m we love both, I'm leaning for toward Paige.

You're right on the middle name. It's there as a symbol and tribute, but her name will be her first name and surname to most.

I don't think I've ever even written my middle name in stuff, always just go with "L" 😂. Most common middle name ever 👀.

Both nice names. Why not wait till you see her and decide then?

MaloneMeadow · 21/01/2024 17:36

Ruby 100% - pretty & classic. At least where we are Paige has quite chavvy connotations.

clpsmum · 21/01/2024 17:55

Ruby

clpsmum · 21/01/2024 17:56

Ps abra is lovely as a first name too. I prefer Abra Paige out of all your names

Olika · 21/01/2024 17:56

Ruby

FayCarew · 21/01/2024 18:08

Paige, but both are nice

Can't not see 'A bra'

@MaloneMeadow , I have heard it said as Pige where I live.

GLC789 · 21/01/2024 19:08

clpsmum · 21/01/2024 17:56

Ps abra is lovely as a first name too. I prefer Abra Paige out of all your names

Thank you.

Abra ell definitely be the middle name to keep in with family tradition 😌😌. It goes back as far as early 1800s xx
