Baby girl due end of April

Our top two, after weeks and weeks of filtering down, are....

Paige

Ruby

Middle name is settled regardless - Abra. Pronounced Ay(like hay) bra.

I don't like Ruby or Paige but Ruby goes better with Abra

Thank you.

Abra ell definitely be the middle name to keep in with family tradition 😌😌. It goes back as far as early 1800s xx

Are you Irish/Welsh/Cornish?

MillicentTheMagnificent · 21/01/2024 22:07

Ruby

Theoldwoman · 21/01/2024 22:08

Ruby, 100 percent.

Thehamsterthatcametotea · 21/01/2024 22:08

I don’t like Paige at all.

Abra is beautiful, where is it from?

Goddessonahighway · 21/01/2024 22:13

Both names are lovely, however I'd be tempted to go for Paige. I know quite a few young Rubys. The only Paige I know is in her 20s. Abra might become more popular on the back of this thread - it's gorgeous.

Abra.

The first time I saw it was when I visited my husbands relatives grave with him. I then noticed it on many others belonging to his family. I've no idea of its origins in terms of culture/ethnicity. But I though it was so beautiful and unique. I then learned it's been a middle name, follow the nf the original OG first name, in the females of his family line for so long and I love the fact we are having a little girl who can carry it on.

Ruby Abra - when I said it out loud it sounds like rude behaviour to me sorry

CharlotteMakepeace · 21/01/2024 22:50

Ruby is lovely.

littlemousebigcheese · 21/01/2024 23:25

Hate them both but abra is lovely

Terrrence · 21/01/2024 23:31

I much prefer Ruby. Paige sounds very American and surnamey. Ruby is pretty and strong. It is traditional and yet has a modern sound.

theduchessofspork · 22/01/2024 00:13

Ruby

Not a fan of Paige

TheNinjaWife · 22/01/2024 01:09

Whoonearthevenareyou · 22/01/2024 06:08

I know 3 girls called Paige. I haven't heard of a Ruby and I think it's a lovely name. It's a vote for Ruby from me.

Jòffl58 · 22/01/2024 06:15

Also prefer Ruby. My daughters middle name.
