Sister or brother for Emily and Lucy

Mncrmum · 19/01/2024 05:48

Hello 👋🏼,

Just found out we're expecting baby number 3. Feels very surreal.

We have an Emily Kate and a Lucy Elizabeth.
Initial thoughts were : Amy Florence (?)

No idea for a boys name 👀

Any suggestions please? I'm hoping talking about names might make this a little more real. ❤️

I love your chidren's names. I think you need something classic so would suggest:
Catherine
Rebbeca
Margaret ( could be Margo for short?)
Louise or Louisia (Lou)
Clementine

For a boy
Theodore ( realize it's getting v. popular)
Alexander ( Xander or Xand)
Jonathon ( Jonty)
Christopher

Lovely names - I have one of them Smile

Our other choices were

Boy - Benjamin, Thomas, Edward

Girl - Lucy (which you have) Sophie, Anna

I liked Martha but DH didn’t, we both liked Charlotte but couldn’t use it.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 19/01/2024 08:06

My sister is an Amy (Aimee) and I still have name envy that she got the prettier name. However I wouldn't pair it with Emily, they're too similar for siblings.

Emily, Lucy and for a boy. Thomas. James. Alex. Jack. Matthew. George.Samuel. Daniel. Ben. Charlie. Jacob.

For a girl. Emily, Lucy and Katie. Sarah. Poppy. Ivy. Sophie. Olivia. Sadie. Hannah. Chloe. Heidi.

Pemba · 19/01/2024 08:55

Your other girls have lovely traditional names, so I think you need to fit in with this. Not Amy, it's way too similar to Emily. I don't like Florence.

Charlotte, Alice or Isabel seem to fit naturally with Lucy and Emily. Or maybe Anna, Sophie, Eleanor or Helena.

For a boy, something classic like Edward, Thomas, William, or James. Or maybe George or Harry.
