Rosanna is far nicer than Ursula. Could be shortened to Rosie or Anna.

Ursula is quite an ugly name IMO (sorry).

SSSandy2 · 16/03/2008 21:22

Prefer Rosanna from the two you mentioned

Carmenere · 16/03/2008 21:22

Don't like Ursula, reminds me of a nun.

funnyhaha · 16/03/2008 21:22

Agree with slidge - rosanna has more 'options'
Can't say I'm wild about either of them

FourPlusOne · 16/03/2008 21:23

I like Rosanna best.

Anna8888 · 16/03/2008 21:25

Rosanna better but neither very good IMHO.

EasterBunnylicious · 16/03/2008 21:26

I love Rosanna

DaisySteiner · 16/03/2008 21:27

I quite like Ursula actually, don't much like Rosanna.

talkingmongoose · 16/03/2008 21:27

I like the meaning of Ursula.

It's 'bear' isn't it, or to do with bears?

poppynic · 16/03/2008 21:28

I adore Rosanna - would have called mine that if dp would agree . Have you seen the movie "For Rosanna" - very nice.

DforDiva · 16/03/2008 21:29

i know someone called Roseanna

somersetmum · 16/03/2008 21:30

This is for rosanna, sweet girl of mine,
A song for the baby who changed my life,
Ill never forget when I saw you first,
I thought that my heart would burst,
With the love that I have.

As I watch you sleeping in here tonight,
And I hear your breathing so soft and light,
I cannot believe all the things that I feel,
When I hold you next to me,
Its the love that I have.

Oh how my heart it is shining,
Oh how my heart it is shining,
Oh how my heart is shining through,
With the love that I have.

And as you are growing from baby to child,
I share the wonders that are in your eyes,
And I am amazed at the way you change,
All according to the plan,
And the love that I have.

And when you are older you will go away,
Youll see injustice and youll see pain,
But never forget that Im always there,
Like a shadow by your side,
With the love that I have.

Oh my love, you have your mothers eyes,
And when I see you laugh, you have your mothers smile,
And you are mine all of my life,
You are mine, all of my love,
You are mine, blood of my blood,
You are mine.

Oh how my heart it is shining,
Oh how my heart it is shining,
Oh how my heart it is shining through,
With the love that I have.

It's little bear but why do you like the name having soemthing to do with bears if you don't mind me asking? (Not really getting it emoticon).

I just find Ursula sounds a bit severe and head-nurse to me. I know a lovely woman with this name actually but I always felt the name didn't suit her.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/03/2008 21:33

Ursula is GREAT but i LOVE Women in Love!

go for it - über cool

OverMyDeadBody · 16/03/2008 21:33

Rosanna is the better of the two. Ursula makes me think of Phoebie's twin in friends.

fishie · 16/03/2008 21:34

i think they are both very nice. ursula.

TheAntiFlounce · 16/03/2008 21:34

Rosanna

Ursula makes me think of bears.

ladette · 16/03/2008 21:35

prefer rosanna. That said, a German friend's sister is Ursula, but have only every known her as "Uschi" which is lovely. Depends where you live, I gueess.

fishie · 16/03/2008 21:36

ladette that is why i like ursula. uschi is very nice to say.

ara · 16/03/2008 21:37

I like Ursula too. Much nicer than Rosnna imo.

ara · 16/03/2008 21:37

Rosanna, rather!

pointedegg · 16/03/2008 21:38

Ursula is rather hard and cold

Rosanna a bit over-sweet

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 16/03/2008 21:38

Uschi very very sweet

LittleBella · 16/03/2008 21:40

Rosanna is nicer
Ursula has bear/ nun / constellation overtones, but agree Uschi is nice

ladette · 16/03/2008 21:45

Yes, I love "Uschi" partly cos it's a nice name but mainly because the Uschi I know is absolutely lovely.
