If you want to go full 80/90s I know 4 Laura Janes.

String any random assortment of letters together and call it a name. That's what everyone sleeps is doing these days...

Aehuela... see, I just did it!

cattygorically · 15/11/2023 19:29

Sorry, I really don't like it. Plain and dated!

CadillacCataract · 15/11/2023 19:31

I love the name Laura. So pretty but not fussy.

Blinkityblonk · 15/11/2023 19:36

I like it a lot. Pretty but not cutesy.

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 15/11/2023 19:43

I like it. I have two ancestors called Laura (born early and middle of the 1800s) and if I'd known that when DD was born I would have used it

LibbyL92 · 15/11/2023 20:03

My sister who is 32 is called Laura

and our nieces and nephews call her Aunty Lau Lau. (We obviously shorten her name to Lau)

We’ve also loved how the those with accents (not our London accents) pronounced her name. Especially the Spanish! (Lal-ra)

I much would have rather of been called Laura than Liberty.

So I would absolutely go for it.

Laura Louise?

Longlive · 15/11/2023 20:43

Laura Erin?

Love Laura, we have one in every generation apart from the last two. We have a 45 year old a 70 year old, then one who would have been 105.

ReadySalty · 15/11/2023 20:43

It's pretty, classic and feminine.

honeyfox · 15/11/2023 20:47

I love it.

TiredMummma · 15/11/2023 20:57

Love it!

LindorDoubleChoc · 15/11/2023 21:01

Beautiful name!

YourWinter · 15/11/2023 21:02

It’s a gorgeous name and definitely not dated.

Duttercup · 15/11/2023 21:04

Against the majority but of all the lovely girls names in the world... Laura? Really? That's your favourite name? It's so beige...

SneezyEvie · 15/11/2023 21:33

Going against the grain here but I think it’s dated.

I prefer Lara or, as a pp mentioned, something similar sounding like Flora/Cora/Nora.

KinS24 · 15/11/2023 21:39

One of my all time favourites because of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Beautiful and timeless

Theoldwoman · 16/11/2023 02:52
