Some of those names are quite ordinary just dated, some are popular names but the spelling is unusual. Cheryl, Annemarie and Donna are quite ordinary in (slightly older than) my age group.

How do you say Chymme?

miniaturepixieonacid · 15/07/2024 14:37

Jimnast - I tried not to list the ones that are common with a different spelling. Which ones do you think those are?

Chymme was said like the chime of a bell. She didn't know where her parents had got it from. It doesn't come up on Google as a name and the search results just show the girl I knew.

Chutney
Gearbox
Coconut
Desk

@miniaturepixieonacid , I'd have never guessed. I though Chimm or Chimmy, or maybe Shim. It looks like a typo for chyme.

Venetia and Sibylla are not on the ONS latest baby name list.

And they're 'normal' and pretty names, just not currently used. I knew both with these names from way back.
