Sorrel or similar?

i grew up with a friend whose sister was called Sorrel and I always liked it. Does anyone know any other baby Sorrels ? Considering other flower names but not of the Daisy, Rose vibe.

I like it but chestnut mare vibe. Horsey women know what I mean.

I love the name Sorrel it was on the shortlist for DD. Where I’m from (Caribbean) it’s a type of deep red hibiscus flower that is turned into tea or a cold drink.

Another botanical name that I love but haven’t noticed on the thread is Jonquil

I'm not entirely confident about how to pronounce Jonquil. Is it just as it looks jon-quil or is it more like zzhh-on-quil?

My midwife was called Sorrel, she was lovely, I will never forget her because of her wonderful name

Me too. I've seen a sorrel (hibiscus not weed) tea in a shop but it didn't look like it would be the delicious-sounding drink that a jamaican-heritage acquaintance was telling me about.

Sorrel reminds me of sorrow.
Suppose you could have Joy or Hope as the middle name lol.
