  • Thoughts on these? Ty 💃

They're all nice. My favourite is Felicity.

Thatsmorethanhalf · 12/09/2023 10:20

I like Verity personally. Thinking of shortening, which I always do, Felicity would probably get Fliss and Harriet would get Hattie?

Abracadabra12345 · 12/09/2023 10:34

These are all beautiful. I used to go to school with a Verity.

Love them all

FluffMagnet · 12/09/2023 10:35

Harriet! Chronically underused these days.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 12/09/2023 10:39

All nice but like Harriet with nickname Hattie best and also verity which is a bit more unusual

LostThestral · 12/09/2023 10:51

I like Hazel but in my mind it's a rabbits name for some reason

TheBirdintheCave · 12/09/2023 10:53

Hazel or Verity are my favs :)

@FluffMagnet Nope, surprisingly, it's number sitting at number 63 in the popularity charts currently with 810 born in 2021.

Sucette · 12/09/2023 10:54

Hazel

Hotpinkangel19 · 12/09/2023 10:57

Any but Verity.

BigTedLittleTedCardboardBox · 12/09/2023 10:57

Hazel. Dislike all the rest, especially Verity. I just don't get all the Verity love that goes on here.

marshmallowfinder · 12/09/2023 10:59

Hazel is really lovely. Verity sounds like ferret-y and not keen at all on the other 2.

JanesBlond · 12/09/2023 11:01

I like them all except not keen on Verity. It’s the name of the PCOS charity and is a bit strong as a name imo. I’d probably go with Hazel as it’s less common than Harriet or Felicity but they are still good choices. Felicity has the best meaning.

becarefulofyourheart · 12/09/2023 11:01

Verity, by far, lovely. Hazel is also sweet.

Felicity is pretty but a bit prim, Harriet is sort of staid, I can’t imagine a baby Harriet, but obviously loads of people like it if it’s made a comeback.

CornflakesOnTheSolesOfHerShoes · 12/09/2023 11:03

@LostThestral - it’s one of the (male) rabbits in Watership Down!

I like Verity best of that lot, gorgeous name. I want to like Harriet but find it a bit prim and head girly. Felicity always reminded me of Malory Towers, but friends now have a gorgeous little Felicity and it’s shifted my perception a bit.

Don’t like Hazel I’m afraid - it goes with names like Morag and Elspeth… Sunday school teachers in their 60s!

cornflower21 · 12/09/2023 11:03

Hazel.

LindorDoubleChoc · 12/09/2023 11:04

Definitely Harriet.

Highdaysandholidays1 · 12/09/2023 11:05

I love Verity, because it has a great meaning 'truth' as well. The others don't appeal to me so much.

AdaColeman · 12/09/2023 11:06

Verity or Felicity.

I'm not keen on Hazel, it reminds me of squirrels and nuts.

OneNameTwoNameThreeName · 12/09/2023 11:06

Verity is my favourite. Quite like Hazel and Harriet but not a fan of Felicity (because of one I knew who was your classic ‘mean girl’)

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 12/09/2023 11:40

I like them all but Verity. No good reason, I just can't stand it for some reason.

DryIce · 12/09/2023 11:42

Verity and Hazel are my favourite girls names, I think you have excellent taste!

piscofrisco · 12/09/2023 11:47

Hazel and Felicity lovely.
The other two, hard no!

JustKen · 12/09/2023 11:52

In order: Verity, Hazel, Harriet then Felicity.

I used to love the nn for Harriet: Hattie.

RainbowFish4 · 12/09/2023 11:55

I like Harriet the best - beautiful and classic name. The others are less to my taste, but nothing wrong with them either.

SneezyEvie · 12/09/2023 11:56

They sound like they should all go to Mallory Towers together!

Harriet is my favourite.
