Cassia & India or Isabella & Emilia

My DH and are due twin girls any day now (36 weeks) and are having a massive name disagreement.
I love Cassia and India, he loves Isabella and Emilia. We both like the others names, but I feel his are very popular, he thinks mine lack timelessness and class.
Neither of us like the two sets combined (we thought about India and Isabella for a but but matching initials is a no).
Which set do you prefer? Any suggestions that might please us both?

Cassia and India

trooop · 15/08/2023 19:15

If I had to rank the names

  1. Cassia
  2. Emilia
  3. India
  4. Isabella - just so many
violetcuriosity · 15/08/2023 19:15

I really like Cassia and Emilia.

Cassia and Iris
Cassia and Violet
Emilia and Iris

Magicmonster · 15/08/2023 19:15

Cassie and Emilia (appreciating this was not one of the options given!)

Mercibuckets · 15/08/2023 19:16

Cassia and Emilia (Cassia and India second).

Sandsational · 15/08/2023 19:17

Cassia and India. Lovely as a pair and I agree his choices are over popular.

Whataretheodds · 15/08/2023 19:17

Cassia and Isabella or Cassia and India

hattie43 · 15/08/2023 19:18

Don't like cassia reminds me of the calculator. The others are nice with India being my favourite

Alloveragain3 · 15/08/2023 19:18

Tough as all such lovely names.
Sorry I'm no help!

OnRose · 15/08/2023 19:21

Cassia makes me think of the spice, Cassie is a nice alternative.
I'd avoid two names ending in 'a'

I like Cassie and Isabella

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 15/08/2023 19:24

Cassia sounds strange to me, I am not keen but Cassie is nice.
out of the options I would go Isabella and Emilia but think my favourite combo is India and Emilia

OverCCCs · 15/08/2023 19:26

I’d steer clear of India. That name is likely to be perceived as increasingly problematic over time.

Ellmau · 15/08/2023 19:27

I like Isabella, I know i is very popular but there's a reason for that.

Cassia is pretty. Emilia is nice too.

I don't care for India.

Cassandra and Isadora?

Lovehearts82 · 15/08/2023 19:28

India and Emilia for me

marshmallowfinder · 15/08/2023 19:28

Cassia and India without a doubt! Isabella is dull and so popular and I loathe mealy sounding names such as Emilia (e mealy uh) Such an ugly sound.

Blingstar · 15/08/2023 19:31

India and Emilia for me. A compromise for you both.

PickledScrump · 15/08/2023 19:38

i Think you should avoid having the same ending and it doesn’t flow well. Out of all the options Cassia and Isabella but I think Cassia and Isabelle work better

Jemimapinotduck · 15/08/2023 19:39

I really dislike India sorry. My favourite from your list is cassia or Cassie as others have suggested. My choice would be cassia and isabella

ChippyRach · 15/08/2023 19:54

Not keen on Cassia and India, not least because I wouldn't want my DC the same names as the offspring of Boris Johnson and Katie Hopkins.

Isabella and Emilia are ok, I prefer Isobel and Emma or Emily.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to have such similar endings on twin names tbh.

Pineapplewaves · 15/08/2023 19:56

Cassia & India

dahliadazed · 15/08/2023 19:57

I think Cassia and Francesca sound great together, I realise Francesca isn’t one of your choices.

OneCup · 15/08/2023 20:31

Cassia and Emilia

shoopshoopdedoo · 15/08/2023 21:05

I’m not super keen on either set but probably prefer Isabella and Emilia. I wouldn’t use India, personally. I like Cassie, Cassia is OK. I prefer Isabel to Isabella (too frilly) and Emily or Amelia to Emilia.

Sort-of-similar combos that I like, whilst appreciating that it doesn’t matter at all what I think and you should just choose your faves…
Cassia and Emily
Cassie and Amelia
Cassia and Isabel

KirstenBlest · 15/08/2023 21:34

Congratulations for your impending birth.

Cassia - can't get past cassia bark. Cassie is fine
India - just no, sorry, it's awful
Isabella - pretty but overused
Emilia - pretty but will ger mixed up with Amelia or get spelt as Emelia, which is hideous.

I'd go for two names that aren't longer than 2 syllables, unless you are gong to use diminutives of Isabella and Emilia. because "Isabella and Emilia" is just too long.

How about Cassie and Emma or something?
