Alice, Emilia, Emilie or Marianna?

Alice - love
Emilia - like but it will get mixed up with Amelia, which I don't like
Emilie - Emily is ok, Emilie is not
Marianna - dislike. Will get mixed up with Mariana

Alice is my favourite by a long way!

Agree with all of this, don’t give kids complicated names they need to spell out to other people all the time!

Alice - it’s alright
Emilia - prefer Amelia but still nice
Emilie - would use the Emily spelling. Again it’s alright.
Marianna - unusual, don’t dislike it but also don’t particularly like it

Alice or Marianna. Alice gets my vote, beautiful in its simolicity, timeless, a true classic!

Emilie...is it pronounced Emily? If it is, just call her Emily as she will have a lifetime of having to spell it.

Love Marianna. Sounds quite international. Unusual without being too out there. Feminine and classy

Alice - fine, nice classic, easy to spell.

Emilia - OK, there may be confusion with Amelia. They are everywhere though. (Ella / Ellie / Eliana / Emily / Emilia / Amelia / Milly / Lilly / Lilia, the whole group of names is over-used at the moment). Emilia was top of the list for German girls in 2022.

Emilie - No, unless you are French and going to use Émilie, then I reckon no reason not to use Emily (though she will be in the overuse club above)

Do you want Marianna to be pronounced to rhyme with Anna? Personally, I much prefer Mariana which is a lovely classic name and I think sound nicer with the ah-na sound at the end.

Marianna is a bit too close to marijuana for me. What about another Mary variation, like Marian/Marion, Marilyn, Marissa, or Maria?

Alice is nice enough. I’m bored of all the E/Amelie/a variations; they all blend into one another after a while.

I love Emilia and also Emily, but not Emilie. Alice is pretty too. Not keen on Marianna and agree with pp that it sounds too much like marijuana.

I like Amelia and Emily - sorry not keen on other spellings. Alice is OK but prefer Anna.
