Alice, Emilia, Emilie or Marianna?

I also like Marianne, but I’m not keen on Marianna.

My grandmother was Alice Madeleine. I've always thought they were beautiful names!

I'm glad people seem to generally quite like all the options.

Marianna - elegant and a little more unusual!

Marianne - liked it since I read Sense and Sensibility. Otherwise Alice.

We have an Emilie - chose the spelling from a French painting, which we now have a print of. I love the name Emily, but the year I was pregnant, there were three Emilys in the primary class I was teaching. They were all lovely and I still think of them now. My Emilie/ Emily is the only one of her large cohort with the name though. Emilia seems to be more popular amongst her age group.

I like Marianna a lot much more than the others and it has the option to shorten to Mary or Anna and so on if she prefers.

My favorite is Emilia.

My friend is called, Emelia (different spelling), but goes by Mila.

Marianna - quite unusual and classy

They’re all lovely. Alice and Emily were on my short list, but as you’re in Italy I’m going to vote Marianna because it sounds beautiful with an Italian accent!

Marianne is a lovely name and sounds better than Marianna in my opinion, though I do like Marianna. Or you could think about Marina? Or just Maria?

I also like Alice, though it is getting quite popular.

Emilie/Emilia - too similar to all the Emilys, Amelias, Amelies and Emmas all over the place.

Maria is lovely, not keen on Marianne, Marina seems quite popular where I am, Marianna is too much (and makes me think of Ms Spring), Mariana makes me think of Trench.
