Everyone I know called Georgia is absolutely gorgeous so I've never seen it as masculine.

Hannah and Clara are pretty.

I've never liked Florence. I know a little girl nn Florrie (she's very cute). It's just not for me.

Others like them are
Laura
Anna
Hattie
Claire
Georgina

Forgot to say Savannah instead of Georgia.

Mumofgirls2017 · 28/07/2023 04:11

Sorry I find Hannah really dull and possibly bit dated. Same with Georgia.

I love Clara. It’s beautiful and classic. I also love Florence. She may get Flo but you can try florrie.

Clara’s lovely and haven’t heard of many, my DD’s 15 and definitely not common in that age group.

Hannah is okay, not common but always present.

mathanxiety · 28/07/2023 05:21

I love Clara.

Shouldisign · 28/07/2023 06:40

I’m not a fan of the name Florence, but I know one who goes by Flossie if you prefer that as a nickname.
Georgia could end up with the nickname George….
Clara is ok.
I would go for Hannah from your list, nickname Hannsie.

Waggytail · 28/07/2023 06:45

How about Georgina or Georgiana?

GoodVibesHere · 28/07/2023 06:51

I really dislike Clara, it's so clunky and ugly, sorry!

The others in order of my preference:

Hannah
Georgia
Florence

Robinbuildsbears · 28/07/2023 07:04

What about Floss or Flossie for Florence?

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 28/07/2023 07:11

Really don’t like Clara and I agree that Hannah seems more for someone in their twenties or thirties but is a nice name.

Georgia is nice, definitely not masculine

Florence is my favourite on your list, very nice.

Dombasle · 28/07/2023 07:21

I can only think of Clara Cluck, Minnie Mouse's friend or an elderly spinster.

I don't like Florence or Hannah.

Georgia is a lovely name.

cptartapp · 28/07/2023 07:21

Florence - dislike
Georgia - masculine and clunky
Clara - also clunky. Love Cara though, or Zara
Hannah - dull but my favourite

FrivolousTreeDuck · 28/07/2023 07:27

Florence - don't like either the name or the nickname, too fussy sounding
Georgia - I see this as quite a bland name
Clara - the best of your shortlist - classic and dignified
Hannah - feels dated to me, but not in a good way

Choux · 28/07/2023 07:37

I like Clara the best and it's the only one you both seem positive on.

Or there's

Cara
Lara
Dara
Fara
Mara
Tara
Zara
Carla
Clarissa
Cora

Georgie instead of Georgia?

bobby81 · 28/07/2023 07:50

Clara or Georgia are my favourites from your list. I personally wouldn't go for Hannah because where I live she would be called Anna (rural Derbyshire where we struggle with 'H' sound!) but if you're in the south it might not be a problem!

ArcticBells · 28/07/2023 07:57

Clara is pretty and less common . Georgia always converts to Georgie or George unfortunately

wellingtonsandwaffles · 28/07/2023 07:58

how about

Nina
Anya
Martha
Ida
Nora

aSofaNearYou · 28/07/2023 08:04

Clara or Georgia for me. Hannah was way too common in the 90s and Florence is becoming too overdone now.

My DH seems to think noone will call her George... they will.

I actually like the full name Georgia and at a push I'd accept Georgie but George really puts off.
