franklin

I posted about edison yesterday but it had very mixed reviews which has made me question my choice so it is clearly not the name for ds

Sounds like an American surname. Pop-culture references to $100 bills.

LMNT · 23/07/2023 05:53

American

Popetthetreehugger · 23/07/2023 06:01

Is it your maiden name? If so use as a middle, if not no . Sounds a bit down market. Every good luck with your little boy 💐

Rainbowqueeen · 23/07/2023 06:03

Franklin the turtle. Pretty sure it’s a book.

ClemmyTine · 23/07/2023 06:05

If you like the name use it.

decaffonlypls · 23/07/2023 06:07

What about Frankie?

GigiAnnna · 23/07/2023 06:12

I like it.

GoodVibesHere · 23/07/2023 06:12

It makes me think someone is trying hard to be trendy or cool, sorry.

WhereTheSuburbsMeetUttoxeter · 23/07/2023 06:16

D. Roosevelt.

IggyAce · 23/07/2023 06:18

I like it but then I like surnames as names. My ds has a name that isn’t well liked in mn, but I love it and like the fact he’s the only one in his school.
I also like:
Arlington
Addison
Archer

Roselilly36 · 23/07/2023 06:19

I prefer Frank than Franklin, love Frankie as a nn.

Diddykong · 23/07/2023 06:24

It makes me think of the 'nerds' on shows like saved by the bell. American geeks with check shirts and big glasses, dropping books and apologising in an American high school..a bit like Eugene

merrymelodies · 23/07/2023 06:25

Not forgetting Benjamin Franklin, another famous American!

Whataretheodds · 23/07/2023 06:29

Benjamin Franklin
Rosalind Franklin who was insufficiently credited for her work on DNA.

usernother · 23/07/2023 07:29

It's a surname.

D. Roosevelt.

Me too! I have no idea how many years it would take me to stop saying that (in my head)

SpringSummerDreamer · 23/07/2023 07:34

A mixture of grungey and wimpy. Sorry.

GetYourHandsOffMyCake · 23/07/2023 07:35

Roosevelt

PerspiringElizabeth · 23/07/2023 07:36

American, try-hard, but it was still on our list 😄 there’s something about it but didn’t use it because I couldn’t be bothered with people’s reactions - voiced or kept private!

PerspiringElizabeth · 23/07/2023 07:36

And when I hear Frank I think old man who smokes. Really like Frankie, but think of a girl. So. Tricky one!

ivykaty44 · 23/07/2023 07:37

Franklin will become frank, which I’ve heard a couple of babies named recently

sandrene · 23/07/2023 07:39

American and wannabe-cool. But actually quite cute too!

Jongleterre · 23/07/2023 07:47

Frank. Yes.

Franklyn. Franklin. No. Hideous.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 23/07/2023 07:51

I like Franklin, I know a Franklin too, about 10 I think, nice boy. I also like Edison, its fab!

AdaColeman · 23/07/2023 07:56
