franklin

I posted about edison yesterday but it had very mixed reviews which has made me question my choice so it is clearly not the name for ds

Franklin reminds me of GTA V (Grand theft Auto game) it's one of the main characters 😂 it's an extremely popular game. he's a bit of a gangster

IHeartGeneHunt · 23/07/2023 08:09

I know a 50 year old Franklin, I like it.

continentallentil · 23/07/2023 08:35

I quite like it

Much much better than Edison

Vexxa · 23/07/2023 08:36

I'm not usually a fan of "American surname" names but I actually love Franklin.

Firsttimecaller · 23/07/2023 08:38

Sesame Street generation hears a muppet singing:
"Roosevelt Franklin baaaahhh
Elementary School!!"Grin
But if you immediately nn Frank then go on.

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 23/07/2023 11:39

I'd assume they were American (or parents were). The people it conjures are Benjamin Franklin, Franklin D Roosevelt and - wait for it - Freewheelin' Franklin, the druggie hippy from the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. 🤣

Daphnis156 · 23/07/2023 17:09

Frank is good, and Franklin is not.

Ladyofthelake53 · 23/07/2023 17:11

Light bulbs

HarridanHarvestingHeldaBeans · 23/07/2023 17:11

It makes me think of Franklin Mint, purveyors of questionable collectibles.

SirChenjins · 23/07/2023 17:11

American trailer park.

TrustPenguins · 23/07/2023 17:19

I wouldn't use it as I don't like Frank or Frankie which it'd probably get shortened to.

D. Roosevelt.

Yep.

D. Roosevelt.

Same

shoopshoopdedoo · 23/07/2023 19:15

Like others, I think: D. Roosevelt / American / surname. I’m not keen on it and I don’t like Frankie as a nickname for a boy.

On the other hand, I love Frank!

user1492757084 · 25/07/2023 09:00

I prefer Edison.
Both seem American.
Franklin also reminds me of the Franklin River.

salamithumbs · 25/07/2023 14:52

Franklin reminds me of the cartoon that used to be on TV, he was a turtle or a tortoise I think?

Peony654 · 25/07/2023 14:52

Old American man

reelcat · 27/07/2023 21:50

Edison is much nicer!
