What do people think of the name Ebeneezer, please.

I think it's quite cool actually... but you'll need to be prepared for the jokes. Won't work well for a shy introverted child. However he could just call himself Ben if he wanted

Noooooooo. Its either associated with a tight fisted old man or a shamen song about doing drugs. Why- just why, would anyone do this to their child? Its cruel.

"Eben" is going on the birth certificate!

There was more than one relative raising concerns.

He might still get called Ebeneezer by his parents, but it wont be his official name, or what he is known as outside the family, it will just be a family name

A terrible name for an old geezer or a miserable chap.

How about Adam, Peter, Moses, Thomas or Caleb.
