Expecting a baby girl soon and trying to finalise/narrow down names. I thought I had narrowed down on a name but having second thoughts

Middle name is most likely Violet and the surname is double barrelled

Please hit me with ideas/suggestions

I think a PP's suggestion of Imogen Violet is lovely.

The Sebastians I know have a sister called Matilda or Tabitha

StopFeckingFaffing · 31/05/2023 14:29

I would expect Sebastian's sister to be called Pandora or Georgiana

Nothing to do with this thread but I love the Steve Harley song 'Sebastian'

Hazelnuttella · 31/05/2023 14:37

I would go with Violet if that’s the name you love OP.

Bay Violet

It's been a personal favorite combo forever and with a double barrel last name, like that it's short and sweet :)

I’d go for Viola if it’s just popularity you’re worried about?

Sebastian and Viola were twins in The Twelfth Night (though that's not a bad thing).

OP, I think you should use Violet - it sounds like you really love it. Popularity doesn't necessarily mean you'll meet a lot of other girls with that name.

YorkshireIndie · 02/06/2023 14:17

@cordelia16 what middle name would you give Violet? Keen that it is not Rose or Grace.

Middle names are a bit tricky since Violet is both a colour and a flower, so names like Rose, Pearl, Daisy, etc wouldn't work. And I feel like it needs a one-syllable name (depends on your surname though).

Eve
Jane
Kate
Paige

Do you have any good family names you can use?

Sealover123 · 02/06/2023 18:28

I think Sebastian and Violet go really well together!

Violet Adelle

Are you going for a flowery feminine vibe, masculine vibe or a slightly more neutral vibe? I've named 4 babies over the last 23 years...not sure they'd choose any of them themselves but I think they all suit in their own kind of way!

WakeMeUpWhenGoodOmensIsBack · 02/06/2023 23:32

Viola is the obvious choice, but if you're not actually a Twelfth Night fan the comments might get quite dull after the twentieth one.

Belle?
