Next week is my due date. I am having a baby girl. Tessa, Theresa and Alice are my husband and my favourite names. What are your thoughts on these names? I quite like Tessa.

All lovely.

Tessa and Alice tie for me. Tessa maybe more unusual?

AgnesGray · 26/04/2023 20:08

I love Tessa

aalleeaahh · 26/04/2023 20:09

I'd go with Tessa. Great name. I used to love Theresa too but a bit ruined now by Theresa May.

PickledScrump · 26/04/2023 20:18

I love Tessa and Alice. I’d go Tessa as it’s a little less common. Theresa is really dated

snowbellthecat · 26/04/2023 20:22

I have forgotten to include, I like the name Tara as well.

BusySittingDown · 26/04/2023 20:35

Could you have Theresa with Tessa as a nickname?

bobby81 · 26/04/2023 20:36

Definitely Tessa, it's lovely & unusual without being weird.

BasiliskStare · 26/04/2023 20:39

I know 2 Theresas ( not the PM one ) and both have always gone by Tessa but Theresa on the birth certificate.

I think Tessa is a lovely name. I like Tara and Alice but in truth I prefer Tessa

HuntingoftheSnark · 26/04/2023 20:39

We chose Jessica in the end, but it was on my list!

Luredbyapomegranate · 26/04/2023 20:47

Teresa nn Tessa (it is traditionally short for
Teresa) - it’s lovely

Alice is done to death

snowbellthecat · 26/04/2023 20:47

@MaydinEssex How is Tara pronounced? My American friends pronounce it ''Terr-ah'.'

It’s Tar-ruh in the UK

Tara is Tar-uh rhymes with car.

Teresa or Therese can have the nick name - Tessa.
Alice is my fave of the four.
Tess and Tara equal second.

AgnesGray · 27/04/2023 06:26

Tara is like Lara in Ireland but Tah-ra in most parts of England (I'm Irish and live in England)
