What do you think of Finley for a boy??? would it date?

Just wondered what people thought of the name Finley, would it date and is it common? I usually like more traditional names. I really like Oliver too.

It's OK, but there are so many now. Step down to your local Tesco and just listen to how many 2 and 3 years olds have this name.

I have a boy called Finlay and there were NO others called Finlay then - he was named after an uncle. He is four now. We call him Fin mostly.

Then we called our second Rory.

Then came Finley the fire engine and Roary the racing car. We must be very well tuned in to the Zeitgeist.

The proper spelling is "Finlay" as in Dr (for our older viewers!)
