Alternatives - Orla/Orlaith, Ariel, Carla, Marla, April, Ariane. Boy alternatives - can only think of Arlo.

The dairy farm next to my street has a sign on the wall saying Arla.

I don't think it's overused as I've never heard if anyone with the name.
Like others, the first thing I thought of was milk.
