Opinions on our shortlist…

Please could I have some honest opinions on our boys list and any suggestions? Any standouts? It’s been really hard! I thought we liked one or two syllable names (surname is 3 syllables) but my current favourite is Sebastian (nn Seb)…

I think Sebastian is lovely. The others are nice too - the only one I’m a bit meh about is Caspar. Bit friendly ghost!

We have similar taste. I love Sebastian on your list followed by Lucas.
Other suggestions - Alexander, Joel, Jonah.
But I think you should go with Sebastian!

Lucas - a name that suits all ages
(and "bringer of light" is a meaningful, apt description for a new baby!)

Sebastian - no
Lucas - ok
Hugo - nice but probably more popular than you think
Caspar - like but it'll get spelt Casper, not keen on Casper
Cormac - different

I'd pick Cormac because it seems fresh

Sebastian is ok but Seb is awful imo. It sounds so unfinished and soft and reminds me of sebaceous (oily)

I only like Caspar!

I like Lucas and Sebastian. Hugo sounds really posh and pretentious in my opinion.

I like Sebastian, I know one nn Bass (like Cass not base).
i like Lucas, also like it spelled Lukas.
Caspar is ok, nn Cass (I’m warming a lot to Cass here 😂😂)
Hugo isn’t for me, but I don’t hate it.
i don’t like Cormac much.

I like Sebastian & Lucas best. Hugo sounds very pretentious, in the same group as Rex and Leo. What abut Caspian?

Sebastian -my favourite by far
Lucas - there's a few Lucas (as in more than one Luca) around these parts. I prefer Lucas though.
Hugo - no it has had its moment.
Caspar - nope sorry - friendly ghost or a dog name.
Cormac - quite like it

I like Lucas and Hugo, not a fan of the others. Sebastian is awful

Sebastian is my favourite, with Hugo in second place.

I'm not keen on the other names, though I know Lucas is very popular.

Cormac is my least favourite.

Sebastian - I love this name. It was our top boy's name for a while but ended up being vetoed as its a bit too popular imo.
Lucas - a bit ordinary compared to your other choices.
Hugo - quite upper class sounding.
Caspar - another one I love.
Cormac - yeak OK.
