Please could I have some honest opinions on our boys list and any suggestions? Any standouts? It’s been really hard! I thought we liked one or two syllable names (surname is 3 syllables) but my current favourite is Sebastian (nn Seb)…

Sebastian
Lucas
Hugo
Caspar
Cormac

Thank you!

Sebastian - I really like Sebastian but not a huge fan of Seb or bas (shudder). I quite like Basti but wouldn't use for obvious reasons

Lucas - I really like, but a few people have told me it is 'downmarket'

Hugo - not a fan

Caspar - the friendly ghost. Not a fan

Cormac - I really like this, it's usual, could be shortened to Cory or Mac. Mac is really cute. I think this is my favourite of your suggestions

I only like Hugo from your list. Casper and Cormac both dire.

My list was very similar to yours.
Loved Sebastian but dislike Seb.
Lucas is my favourite of your list.
We ended up with a Jude. ❤️

All of them are lovely but I personally wouldn't go with cormac as I think it's the name of a bird?

Cormac is a very respectable Irish name. I think you are thinking of cormorants

Jude was also on our list! Lovely name. It was my favourite actually but my partner knows a Judith nn Jude so felt we couldn’t use it in the end.

We’re also considering Dylan or Ellis

Cormac is growing on me. The nickname potentials are good and my partner has Irish grandparents so there’s a link there. I don’t think it’s a bird @Toomanybooks22 ? Isn’t that a cormorant ?

Cormac reminds me of Cormac Mclaggen in Harry Potter.

The rest of the names are lovely :)

Sebastian (Seb) - love
Lucas - rhymes with mucus, so no
Hugo - nice
Caspar - no
Cormac - nice
Dylan - love
Ellis - nice
