Just that really, looking for a boys name, I like oldie type names or Scottish sounding names. Any suggestions welcome. Middle name will be Thomas x

2 of my great-grandfathers were Ambrose & Rawson.

Ambrose Thomas has a nice ring to it.

The youngest Graham I know is over 60, Graeme is easily a generation older. It's definitely old fashioned!

I know a few Grahams in their 30s and a Graeme who is 42.

I think Alasdair is lovely.

Old fashioned and Scottish, ticks both boxes.

Although there are various spellings which may be bothersome.

Hobbesmanc · 01/02/2023 16:20

Lawrence. Or Douglas. I like Gordie to as a stand alone name.

Stanley is very trendy now- I don’t think of it as a vintage name.

I’ve had one every year I have been a teacher (the past 9) and it’s still popular. It has the same vibe to me as Alfie or Archie.
