What do you think..? For a boy!

I mainly know this name from a Chalet School book - I randomly mentioned it when discussing names for the new baby with DH (I could do this all day long, he hates it , the poor thing), and he very unexpectedly liked it.

I like it. I'm sure I read a book with it in (not the chalet school I don't think).
It would put me off that some people might mishear Chester though.

There is a weird Christian journalist called Kester Brewin. I've never heard it otherwise.

It sounds to me like one of those names you consider when you're quite heavily pregnant and a bit nuts 😉

Kester is also the main character in the Last Wild (recent children's book.) It's the only time I've come across the name before but I like it.

I love it, and I get the CS reference too. When I re-read the Chalet school books I often ponder if Kester Bellevere is actually Kester's dad. I totally would have done, Jem's a dick.

First thoughts on reading the thread title was it was like someone trying to be edgy with Chester.
