What does anyone think of mona? Middle name not decided yet. I dont make the "moaner" connection but I worry other people might!

Mona ends in a "aaah" sound.

Moaner ends in an "er" sound.

It is exactly the same as moaner. Identical.

Moany Moaner is what she'll get called.

@Kite22 in Wales, Mona is from the latin name for the Isle of Anglesey, Ynys Môn. The o is long and flat (like in born), or short (like in got).
The a like the a in cat.

In Arabic, Mona is more like Mouna.

I absolutely think "moaner" immediately (and I normally think that people's word connections with names on here are a stretch but this is one that I think most people would think) and that annoying character on Friends.
Ramona is better because it just breaks it up and, even if she uses Mona as a nn, somehow that's a bit better I think.

I'd worry Mona might be the kind of name that would attract sleazy comments from sleazy blokes when she's older. I know a Pandora and not a week goes by where she doesn't get the same old gag about opening her box.

My first thought was Mona Lisa and for that I think it’s awful
