Best nicknames ?

I'm a fan, used it for my DD's middle name. Sometimes regret not choosing it for her first name. Love Frankie as nickname.

I really don't like it. The full name is better than any of the diminutives.

Beautiful name, it was on my list of favourites, if I’d had girls. I know two, one is known as Frankie, the other is Cheski.

Beautiful name, I wouldn’t shorten it.

I’ve known of one that goes by Frankie, one who goes by Chessie and one who goes by Cesca ( Pronounced Cheska) and one who goes by Chica 🤷🏼‍♀️

Other options could be Fran or Frannie

also Chess could be an option

It's lovely. If I have another child and it's a girl, this will definitely be my first choice.

One of the ugliest names I can think of, clearly in the minority here though. I’d hate being called fran or franny

I love it. It was on my long list for a DD but I didn't have one. I think I like the full Francesca better than any of the short forms, but it's important to me that a child should be allowed to choose for themselves which (if any) short forms they want to use, and some girls would really suit Fran or Frankie.

I love it! Strong classic name that works internationally.

I also have a Francesca, family call her Cheska, but friends work etc it’s Fran, weather you or she likebit or not it will be shortened to Fran

Lovely name! I personally hate Frankie as a nn; but I know a friend of DD’s (10) who is a Francesca but goes by Francie, which sounds lovely, and much softer than Frankie with the hard k.

I have a Frances, everyone calls her Frankie which is what she prefers. Except me, I of course call her a totally random nickname which is nothing to do with her name.
