Juliet! Head and shoulders above the others.

Both Lily-Rose and Arabella too frilly for my taste and very different to Noah which is lovely.

SummaLuvin · 30/10/2022 20:57

Juliet by an absolute country mile.

Arabella - so fussy that it becomes ugly to my ears
Juliet - classic and familiar but uncommon enough to not bore me
Lily Rose - two names, and neither sparks any interest to me

SilverOtter · 30/10/2022 20:59

Juliet

Luredbyapomegranate · 30/10/2022 21:05

Juliet 💯

Arabella is v frilly, I don’t mind it, but doesn’t go with Noah

Both Lily and Rose are done to death, and in combination they are sickly sweet. Also even if you don’t actually use a hyphen people will associate it with Ellie-Mai type names. This is Not a good thing for your child.

DurdleSnore · 30/10/2022 21:13

Another vote for Juliet. Well known but by no means overused.

Arabella is a bit too girly for my taste (although a perfectly lovely name) and again, Lily Rose is nice but in my opinion has gone a bit downmarket.

soundsystem · 30/10/2022 21:14

Juliet for sure!

toastofthetown · 30/10/2022 21:20

Echo all of the Juliet comments. Arabella manages to be both overly twee and fussy, and harsh and clunky at the same time. Lily is dull as dishwater, and Lily Rose as a double first name feels quite dated to about ten or fifteen years ago.

Floralnomad · 30/10/2022 21:23

Juliet absolutely

ofwarren · 30/10/2022 21:23

Juliet
I would have called my DC this if I'd have had a girl.

Ship · 30/10/2022 21:24

Juliet for sure

Wombat100 · 30/10/2022 21:27

Juliet is nice and goes well with Noah.

I like Rose but Lily Rose is too common now I think.

Dancingwithumberellas · 30/10/2022 21:28

Juliet - beautiful!

Tassen · 30/10/2022 21:29

Juliet is my favourite as sounds pretty but strong at the same time.

Arabella is pretty too

Although Lily & Rose are nice there are lots of them about.

SpringIntoChaos · 30/10/2022 21:30

Anything but Lily Rose!! It's done to death and I just have no more room on my register for another one!

Coconutcream123 · 30/10/2022 21:31

I actually prefer Arabella, followed by Juliet.
Lilly and Rose seem to both be very popular at the moment and not sure if they're a bit downmarket. Still prefer them to Violet or Willow though

timoteigirl · 30/10/2022 21:32

All very similar but will pick Juliet.

MojoJojo71 · 30/10/2022 21:32

definitely Juliet, gorgeous name and much nicer than the other two. Arabella is too frilly for me and Lily-Rose far too common

Starpop · 30/10/2022 21:33

I absolutely LOVE Arrabella! It's so beautiful and I love Bella as a NN. Noah is a gorgeous name too. Personally I don't think you have to have matchy names for siblings.

I had another boy, but before I knew he was a boy Arrabella was my favourite girl name

PritiPatelsMaker · 30/10/2022 21:38

Another vote for Juliet. It was on our list for DD.

SallyWD · 30/10/2022 21:42

Julie is lovely. The other names are too fussy.

Awrite · 30/10/2022 21:43

Juliet, by a long, long way

Or even Juliette.

Dc2 would have been Juliette if a girl. Absolutely love it.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 30/10/2022 21:44

Juliet is a lovely name.

Have you considered Annabel instead of Arabella?

Namechange192727171 · 30/10/2022 21:44

If i had to pick - Juliet
They're all pretty bad though

AnnapurnaSanctuary · 30/10/2022 21:46

Juliet is my favourite

silverpinecones · 30/10/2022 22:02

I just want to stand up for Lily here as we have one and although it is fairly common I don't think it's fair to call it downmarket!!

I'm a teacher and haven't taught that many, maybe 5, in 10 years if of teaching (secondary too, so about 150 kids per year). My 5yo is Lily and to be fair there is one other in her class but she was the first peer with the same name we met and we didn't meet her until last year. So it's not like every second child is called it!!

Wait until you have the baby and practice saying the names out loud to her, and then you will see if they suit her. I feel like they are all nice names but quite different so see which one sounds right alongside the actual baby!
