What does people think of the name Octavia.
I love the name I saw it on a to show the 100 a few years ago, so maybe more common in America. Everyone I have told does not like the name. Is it really a weird name I don’t want her to grow up hating her name? Or is it one of the names she will grow in to and people will just get used to it

I like it. I don't understand how you can 'despise' a car.

I really like it. I know an Octavia. She's 7 and goes by Tavi sometimes but mostly Octavia. She likes her name

Is makes me think of a marvel or DC villain but I don’t dislike the name. I think you can call kids anything these days and people won’t be phased. Apple, North, Cosmo, Blue Blanket! If those kids can make it through life with those names, and Octavia will be absolutely fine 😜

They’re very customisable and make great sleepers/Q cars. There’s a reason the police use them!

Don’t listen to the naysayers and car people. Octavia is a beautiful Roman classical name. It’s absolutely not a surname and it’s unusual and elegant. There’s a Jilly Cooper novel called Octavia and Octavia Hill.

I have one! Last minute decision in the labour ward when we realised baby would be born on 8/8. Back in the days when you didn't know the sex until they were born. It suits her, always has done ever since her personality started to come out, I can't imagine her being called anything else. Plain single sex middle name taken from the hospital we were in. We call her Tavey, some of her friends call her Occy.

Oh and a quick response to the Skoda bit. That happened to be a godsend so she too could get stuff like pens and pads with her name on! They were very highly prized when she was little

I think it's a lovely name. And despite the fact that my DP has a Skoda Octavia I didn't even think of that. I thought of someone I know who has an Octavia, she was her 8th child.

If I'd have had 8 and the 8th was a girl I would have gone for it too!

Jilly Cooper's character is fictional. And even if she weren't? My name is Ruth. The most famous Ruth some will know was the last woman to be hanged in the UK. I don't think it defined me
