Which girls name do you prefer?

Here comes my third kid, another girl! I need help narrowing down my short list into a shorter list. I like sort of flowery fancy names. I really want a name that can be shortened, the more the better. I also like names with nice meanings. Pick one or suggest your own:

Crystalina (Crystal - I love crystals (Greek for ice))
Elouisa (Louisa, Ellie, Louise (Old German for famous warrior woman))
Elizabeth (Lizzie, Izzy, Betty, Ellie, Beth, Eliza, Lizziebeth - my mum was called Elizabeth)
Adora (Dora (Means a gift or beloved)
Isadora (Issy, Dora (means gift from Isis in Greek)

Really like Elouisa, it’s unusual without being weird.

Not a fan of Crystalina - bit long and more importantly Crystal has a rep as a ‘stripper name’ it just does, not my idea.

Isadora is cool

Adora is lovely but I worry her classmates would keep joking about ‘I adore ya’ or stuff like that

They are all lovely except Adora. Hard to choose from the others.

Crystalina (Crystal - I love crystals (Greek for ice)) - Just no. No child deserves a name like that
Elouisa (Louisa, Ellie, Louise (Old German for famous warrior woman)) - Pick Louisa or Eloise not mish-mash the names into something ugly. The world does not need another Ellie
Elizabeth (Lizzie, Izzy, Betty, Ellie, Beth, Eliza, Lizziebeth - my mum was called Elizabeth) - Fine apart from Lizziebeth and Ellie. Bess is fab.
Adora (Dora (Means a gift or beloved) - You'd need to use Belle as a middle name. Ding dong!
Isadora (Issy, Dora (means gift from Isis in Greek) - at least it's not truly hideous like Adora, Crystalina and Elouisa

I really love Adora! Never heard it before actually.

I'm thinking maybe either Isadora or Adora or Elouisa. They are all on NameBerry if you want to have a look. I like names with 'Ad' or 'El' at the beginning.

Isadora is absolutely wonderful!
Elisabeth is lovely (maybe a little popular depending on your other childrens names) I really like Betsy as a nn
Not that keen on the others although I do like Dora, Louisa and Eloise.

What about Adorabella?

If you like names beginning with Ad and El, how about Eleanora, Adelina, Adriana.

Or slightly different but similar feel, Alessia, Alicia, Christabel, Jessamy.

Just got off from a phone call to my step-mum. She has made her own list. She has Isadora on her list so @Dinosaursdontgrowontrees I am thinking you are right. I want to have Elizabeth there, I really want to honour my mummy,
but I am leaning towards it as a middle name. My other daughters are called Adelaide and Elaine.

I think you are thinking of Eloisa, a variation of Eloise/Heloise. Louise/Louisa has a different origin, I believe, you are mashing Louisa and Eloise together. Eloise is beautiful BTW, can't you go for that?

Isadora makes a nice change from Isabella. The only problem might be if anyone remembers the 90s kids TV show 'Wizadora'. I can here the theme tune now 'Wizadora, we adore her' ...

Adora is a bit OTT. Also seems to be forcing people to 'adore her'. Why not just Dora?

Elizabeth is always a good choice, classic with so many diminutives, Lizzie, Libby, Eliza, Beth etc

I think you need to do Eloisa as sticking a random "U" in is bizzare. Hate when people spell Eloise as Elouise or even worse Ellouise as its incorrect.

I love Dora but maybe not Adora. I like Isadora (assuming you are Greek). So maybe Isadora nn Dora.

Elizabeth is just a total classic. I love Betty or Libby for pet names

Have you considered Dorothea. It's a classical Empresses name meaning gift of God. Nick names could be Dora. Dor. Dorrie. Thea even Dolly.
