Has Evie declined in popularity?

Or is it still very popular? There was a point between 2008-2012 when it felt as though every other little girl was named Evie, but I haven’t heard it for a while.

It feels slightly dated already.

Dropping in popularity but still around in various forms plus the similar Edie. Ava, Ida, Ada, Ivy names that all blend into one.
I meet LOTS of new babies through work.
Funnily I remember working in a nursing home as a holiday job as a student ( late 90's) and Evelyn was the most popular name for 90+plus year old ladies and we had Edith's, Ida, Ada , and lots of Margaret's and Olive's. Not many men but Wally (Walter) and John stand out in my memory.
It shows the 100 year rules do apply.
It has put me off the name though .Evelyn will always be a grumpy old lady with a Zimmer frame that she hit my legs with when I dared to offer the biscuits to her frenemy Vi ( Violet) first one afternoon tea time. Had a massive bruise because Vi took all of Evelyn's favourite and it was apparently my fault. ( I bet that scene is played out in playgroup settings without the Zimmer frame presently)

Probably time to dust off Janet, Susan, Linda they must be due back soon.

Youngest one I know personally is 5 but I’ve still heard it a few times recently for new babies

Still popular and it's so annoying!

I have had Evie at the top of my list since The Mummy in the 90s and now it's coming back and I'm so mad lol

Nah, I seen people loving Susannah on Nameberry, so I think it would be Susannah time to rise instead of Susan. Linda still in limbo, though.

I know a 5-yr-old Evie (6 on Sunday), short for Evelyn.

I think it’s starting to fall in popularity, but it is still pretty popular. I don’t know of any toddler/baby Evie’s.
